I just don't get what to adjust when it comes to my CPU teammates and CPU opponents. Which sliders do I change to effect the CPU vs CPU part of play?

it's still not good, or i should say equal enough, however try these sliders as a base:
Difficult: Pro
Half-Time length: 5-10min
Pace: Slow
User/CPU
sprint 47/53
acc: 49/51
shot err: 50/48
pass err: 55/45
shot spd: 50/51
pass spd: 50/57
injury: 60/60
severity: 38/38
GK ability: 49/52
marking: 45/65
runs: 20/20
line height: 50/50
line length: 50/50
line width: 50/50
FB Position: 75/75
first touch error: 55/45
