We are 6 weeks away from release. Still plenty of time to release the information. If presentation is whats keeping you from deciding whether to get the game or not, the blog will be released in the next few weeks and you can make your decision then.

If this blog isnt going to have any effect on whether you buy the game or not...why does it matter if they release the news on time or not?
Difference being that those companies actually produce good games. Excellent graphics, superb gameplay, etc. I can live with their delays.

Good for you. There are plenty of people here who like Madden's gameplay and graphics.

You seem unhappy with the game and I'll assume you are unlikely to buy the game. If thats the case, why do you care when they release a blog?

This post just brightened my day. For one simple reason.

To be fair, every single year (whether it's on this forum or another) I see a lot of complaints from a significant amount of people with respect to Madden's gameplay. So it's not like I am the only one. Far from it actually.

I really hope this year is different, because I love football. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong with Madden 16.

Hopefully Madden 16 can prove a lot of people wrong gameplay and CFM wise mostly, but quality of recent madden games tells us not to have such high expectations for the game. Presentation improvements, such as a stats ticker in CFM and an improved half time show, hopefully made it into madden 16

I'm not saying you are the only one. I'm just saying if you think the graphics arent good and you think the gameplay isnt good....why do you care what the presentation is going to look like?

Who buys a game with subpar gameplay and graphics?

There will always be tons of complaints as football and how it should play is subjective

The thing that's funny to me is EA makes an announcement for an announcement. I guess to build hype, I get that. But I gaurantee that more than 85% of the people who buy madden have no idea an announcement has been made at all. Only the same small percentage of people who check these forums everyday. So why mess with that small group of people? What purpose does it serve? I'm not bashing them, I guess I just don't get marketing.

Every company does it. 2k just announced the cover athlete for the next WWE game after announcing that the announcement would be made today.

The trick in marketing is to give people enough to keep them interested while not giving away too much too soon. I'd make an analogy about a certain adult activity but it is too early in the week to get banned

Good point. However those sites get way waaaayyy more traffic than EA's dinky little announcements. I don't care that they didn't release the info. I just don't see the point of flat out lying about it. If it's not coming out for 2 more weeks that's fine. I'll be pumped for it when it comes. Just don't play games and tell me it's this week. I'm sure they have their reasons though, so whatever, no sweat.

95% of the people acting like they can't wait will be complaining seconds after the info drops so why not just chill? I've learned to temper my expectations when it comes to EA..

I'm sure there's a reason why the information has not yet been released. We have to remember, EA doesn't have to release a blog to the public as a way of marketing the game; they could just use commercials, because the game will sell regardless. Them releasing information to us is a "nicety" and shouldn't be an expectancy. This since of entitlement, I just don't get, neither do I understand. As a company, they have no obligations to us, as far as releasing certain information. We're all hungry for information but complaining about something that is completely out of our control is nonsense. Remember, patience is a virtue.

You are right, they don't have an obligation to release information. It's when they officially announce they are going to do it that it does in fact become an obligation. This has absolutely nothing to do with entitlement, why wouldn't people be upset it they are awaiting information about presentation that was promised within a timeframe that has now passed?

Maybe because people are more understanding in business situations, miscommunication happens on a daily basis.

Maybe because people started leaving on Thursday from work for the holiday weekend and it was a short work week.

Why be upset when this happens all the time in business?
