What were you expecting or hoping they would announce?

With the buildup of this blog, I actually thought maybe the team had overhauled the whole presentation of Madden and did what most have been asking for years, a true representation of an actual NFL broadcast.
Instead it's fictional cameras instead of for example Sony did years ago a give stadium specific authentic camera angles.
No mention of a pregame/halftime/postgame show.
Floating stat overlays instead of just more of a representation of ones really used by the networks that broadcast the games.
In game stat ticker giving me updates of other current games happening in my franchise?
Highlights from those games. A feature Madden had over 20 years ago in the game.
Instead I'm reading about foam fingers and signs.
Look I'm happy you are excited about this game. I wish I could be too. But these features don't get me excited and makes me think I should just hang onto 15 for another year. Maybe with further blogs and videos I will go out and buy. Just disappointed.

It's a console limitation. I don't know all of the particulars though.

I don't buy this. NCAA Football had fully customizable stadium sounds too. It's just a low priority more than likely.

Love some of the new additions and especially what they're doing with the crowds.

This quote concerns me though. I'd rather they kept it realistic and not have camera angles that could only be taken if the camera man was right next to the QB.

I for sure understand this concern but, I'm kind of coming around to liking the idea of beyond broadcast. I know it's currently not possible to have these angles but, if it was I'm sure TV broadcasts would use them.

At one time the camera that is on the field wasn't possible so maybe someday they will be able to have technology to get a camera in places that aren't possible now.

I sometimes think our expectations are a bit too high. Multiple broadcast teams? I've only seen one game pull this off (NCAA Basketball) and even that was done pretty poorly and was repetitive.

I thought it worked awesome on FIFA 14. It may sound like a small thing, but it adds a ton of replay value in my opinion.

That's the biggest loser with the direction Madden is going to me. The removal of any significant customization options completely destroys the replay factor.

I was justing wondering what you thought it was going to be and why you were so disappointed.

Is NCAA on the PS4 or X1? No it's not...go read the MLB The Show Forum. It has something to with the HDD of the systems.

All in all I'm happy they spent some time improving the presentation and some of the more minor things, but my disappointment lies in the feeling that Madden is constantly playing catchup. It's easy to be content but hard to be excited when features are brought up to a standard that was set years back by other sports games.

Sidenote, I'm giving EA the benefit of the doubt that these presentation things were squared away after the alpha build that was at E3, because the first thing I thought of was the cameramen's reaction (or lack thereof) to this OBJ TD.

I wish they would focus on realism and add more things that you see on an actual broadcast. Plus a ticker and highlights from other games. That's what I want. Other stuff is just filler to me.

While I know this would never happen I would love for them to go after the local radio crews for each team. I wouldn't care if they gave you a code for one and sold the rest as DLC. Then you have the option of hearing your own teams crew or the home teams crew. i.e. Playing Greenbay on the road as the Bears and I listen to their local team.

I can't phantom the cost for something like that but didn't they have extra boradcast teams in FIFA at once point as DLC?

i love how they say they dont want to use popups cause they are distracting yet whenever i see those floating stat bubbles in all the gameplay videos its just as distracting, maybe worse. and sticks out like a sore thumb cause you don't see that kind of presentation in real life.
