Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
Looking forward to getting the game and the presentation things overall look good. Nothing mind-blowing, but some definite improvements.
The biggest concern that I have is that they use the phrase "throughout the league" when talking about the enhancements to the crowds, songs, etc. I hope I am wrong but to me that sounds like code for "not all teams."
The biggest presentation buzzkill I had in Madden 15 was hearing the crowd chanting "J-E-T-S" in New York, hearing the Panther growl in Carolina or hearing any number of specific team-oriented cheers at other stadiums. They I play a game in Buffalo and there is no "Let's Go, Buff-a-lo" chants, or the train horn blaring, or the "Shout" song.
I'm sure there are other teams that get screwed out of having realistic team chants, but EA's penchant for giving these features to some teams and ignoring others is really frustrating. I am still clinging to the hope that it will be rectified in 16.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
I want it as well, However we shouldn't have to pay for a feature that if can be made dlc SHOULD be in the game. I think these things are coming just game play has been the focus point which it should beI do realzie if the majority of fans wanted a 2nd Broadcast with weekly wrap up and sports ticker. It would be in the game. Not enough people fans, die hard are asking for this feature. If the don't want to make it in the game They should make us a cool app and website and presentation game for 19.99 that does the sports ticker, Highlight games to the ESPN network and does weekly recap and draft and free agency with radio show and magaizines and social. That way us die hard fan would pay 20 bucks for the upgrade and feature. WIN WIN,, And other fans that dont want doesnt have to purchase it.Follow on Twitch: Brooklynbk4

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
I was told they went after them for all 32 teams but certain restrictions permitted some of them, one being certain songs were extremely costly to obtain the license for, ie more modern songs.Looking forward to getting the game and the presentation things overall look good. Nothing mind-blowing, but some definite improvements.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
I can't express how amazing something like that would be. It would really take franchise mode to a whole new level of immersion. Instead of just a bunch of isolated games, it would actually feel like it's a real league that we are part of....which is something that a basic feature like a score ticker would also help achieve!Imagine a Madden where when you're in Week 17 and you need a win and another team to lose to clinch a playoff spot. After the play its cuts to James Brown's (or whomever) voice in the studio. He says something along the lines of "its not looking good for "your team" as Andy Dalton just tossed a 50 yard TD to put the Bengals up by 17". Shoot if they could show a replay of that our collective heads would explode. They could do the same for record breaking performances, MVP races, last games by HOF's, etc.
Even a ticker saying "so and so now leads NFC North" would be nice. Instead we get a ticker for XP.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
That's understandable. I hope for the things that wouldn't require getting the rights they tried to do something for each team. "Let's Go Buffalo" and similar chants should be doable.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
I was wondering what they had to go through for song licensing. I know they had the Shout song in the game a couple of years ago, but then it disappeared. Figured there might be an issue. But fingers crossed that there is something unique for games at Orchard Park.
Thanks so much for all your intel, and what you add to these boards.Last edited by Tomski; 07-11-2015, 02:51 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
EA needs to grow some balls and stand up to the NFL, maybe they can come to an agreement to limit dynamic crowds to CFM Franchise mode only.I don't think they're allowed to put that in. I heard they had it years back and the NFL made them pull it.
The NFL is so concerned with their image, they strong-arm their way through a lot of cool features. Player personalities (remember players that were 'Team Distractions' if their morale got too low?) are another example of this.Comment

I once asked a developer about Start Me Up on Packer kickoffs. Any songs from the Stones, Led Zep and other same type artist are too costly to incorporate into the game.
EA will not grow up and stand up,either. It's a mutual understanding and agreement (the license) between both parties.
EA won't jeopardize anything they have going on with the NFL.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Presentation Details
First of all, I wouldnt take EA's word for it. They make terrible excuses for everything. Perhaps it is true....but it doesnt excuse tons of other things that they make pitiful excuses for. On top of which, I have no idea why the NFL would have issues with THAT of all things.
Secondly, stand up to them? LMAO...huh? In the end, its an NFL product and they have a say in things. If EA stands up to them, they risk losing the NFL license....and for that reason, I hope they do stand up to them. :o
Seriously though...I dont really buy that the NFL is the barrier there, but I have no way of proving it, so whatever.Comment

I don't believe that a company like Sports Illustrated would release a story and retract it should the information be wrong. This leads me to believe that the NFL really did tell EA to eliminate these features for whatever their reasons really are.Comment

Fan signs, foam fingers and female fans.
Really? That's an announcement? That's a little embarassing if those things make the list of major improvements to the presentation of a new version of the game. Those are graphical updates to in patches to the previous game surely not back of the box overhauls to be trumpeted, no?Comment

Any chance for an upgrade on the ' Halfttime Highlights "The living worlds stuff looks pretty good. The "drive starters" commentary could also be a good addition if done right.
Overall, nothing really blew me away(not that I was expecting it to), but just a bunch of solid additions. Here's hoping that the score-ticker finally returns for next year!Comment
