Just put in a buy order for 5 stubs or whatever it is. It's not going to sell for that much for very long and then they will cancel the order.

It's now 90 stubs. Someone was probably trying to sell the card to himself or something.

This was probably just sell side baiting. Where there's only 5 or 6 cards left up of a guy, you buy them all, then list one for millions. Everybody that needs one or want to flip one will put up crazy buy offers. You take the 4 you have left from buying the guy out and sell to the high buy offers. Good way to make thousands of stubs really quick. Happens in the Free Agent page quite often.

The thing is, why are people buying free agents? Because their stock's going up?

A lot of the free agents are phantoms. They no longer come in packs and do not show up in your collection. What's available of them is all there will ever be. As supply runs out and people realize it, their prices will soar. It's starting already with a bunch of the bronze guys at 200-500 stubs. There are a few in regular sets too.

I get that, but why would they want free agents? It's not like you need them for sets.

If they get signed and added to a team, they usually go as nuts as rookies for the first few days. I moved 8 Correias for 10k each the first day he was added to the Phillies collection.
