This is how I feel as well and turned me off to a lot of the better tours in TGC because they all had it turned off.

I get the thought but even in real life if I have a blind shot or need to get a look at the green I can drive the cart up to get a better look at what I need to (essentially zooming in).

And the pro's have their caddies there to do exactly what we are doing by zooming in in the game. I have almost all other crutches off (green grid only is still on).
