This is unique in the sense that McNeal is the first 3 (or for that matter 2) way player Diaco will have at UConn.

2018 Season Preview

Guru Says: D-Ham better have his head on straight. TDL is breathing down his neck.



Guru Says: 'Keel and Johnson are the guys. Time to bust out of Marriner's shadow!



Guru Says: Haden better be ready to step up and mentor these guys with folks like Lucas, Mitchell and Myers gone. It's time for Harris, Matthews and Reid to step up.



Guru Says: We should be OK as we only lose one starter (Trey Rutherford). Depth will be a major issue though. Steve Hashemi better stop asking to be moved around and getting carries and be ready to play backup guard/center.



Guru Says: Rourke is the new leader of the line after that nasty freshman season. Just don't give me a sophomore slump! Atkins will do just fine with #95.



Guru Says: Diggs and Carrezola will do fine, and Leonard is a big sleeper. I still don't know what we have in UCLA transfer Bradford though. Look for all these backups to be playing like madmen for time next year.



Guru Says: Lumpkin had troubles at nickel last year, I pray to god he's better on the outside. I have confidence in Watkins. Sinclair and Robinson should be just as good as last year.



Guru Says: Miller surprised everyone missing only one kick after taking over midseason. Bring out the regression police. McNeal should be fine at return specialist.




Guru Says: No big surprises here. The big one is the OR at the backup QB slot. TDL has really wowed the staff this fall.



Guru Says: The Big 12 schedule will be interesting, but we got off lucky avoiding Oklahoma and Texas. (And on a lesser note, Texas Tech). There's a strong chance we go 7-1 or 8-0 in conference (TCU is the only team I'm worried about).

Actually no. A lot of it is from communicating with guys in the PS3 roster thread. You're good.

He'll definitely be big for us. I still don't really know what I have in Thomas, so that gives me freedom to try Thomas as a receiver and blocker, so I can implement Archie as needed. Ja'Montres Jones is another guy to watch, but he's a pure receiver.

The year of the grad student

This year will be dominated by 5th year seniors. This much I know is true.

40 of the top 50 Heisman candidates are grad students. Hmmmmm.....

Florida enters the year #1 after their second loss in three years in the National Title Game. They lose Heisman winner Treon Harris, but gain equally experienced Will Grier, who could be just as good.

Defending champs UConn lose most of their key pieces, but have lots of young talent. Regardless, they are still a year away more than likely as sophomore QB David Hamilton enters his first year as starter.

Oregon and TCU were denied in the CFP Semis, and they are back, as are snubs UCLA and Auburn, with Oklahoma, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, USC and Missouri back and ready to contend.

Indeed, they were in the playoff hunt most of last season, and only fell out because of a loss to Virginia in the last week of the season. With a Heisman favorite in Speight, VT could be playoff hunting, with Lane Kiffin as head coach. Go figure.

Always tough to play on the Smurf Turf, and a lot of questions with Hamilton only getting a half of playing time. Good luck with the title defense.
