Never played EASHL. How do I play the Beta?

So I don't play online (don't have the PS4 online access) and I've never played EASHL, so have no gamer friends.
What's the simplest way of playing this Beta?

Check the threads about players availability for your platform.

Also check the EA Sports Recruiting NHL forum (http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/forums/show/4239.page)

Add people to your friends list, then join their club (you can search for Friends Club only).

Alternatively, join any public club and see if there is anyone online.

So I've been battling vertigo feel a little better today but I can't download the beta. Keep getting an error after I hit download that's says my payment options cannot be displayed properly try again later... What does this mean ?

My only guess is are you a Xbox Live Gold Member? I'm not sure if the Beta is for everyone or only Gold members.

Yes I'm gold, credit card is valid. I tried to uninstall then reinstall nhl 15 and still getting the same error.

Getting the exact same error on xbox one..cant even download the beta. Ps4 worked, though.
