DeGrom's awesome, but I think he's behind Greinke and Scherzer at this point.

Agree, same with Sonny Gray, think he's behind Kuechel and Sale

          Will win; should win

AL MVP: Mike Trout; Mike Trout
NL MVP: Bryce Harper; Bryce Harper

AL Cy Young: Dallas Keuchel; Chris Sale (although you can just flip a coin between him and Keuchel and Archer; they're all awesome)
NL Cy Young: Zack Greinke; Max Scherzer (again, just flip a coin between him and Greinke and Kershaw)

AL ROY: Carlos Correa; Carlos Correa
NL ROY: Noah Syndergaard; Noah Syndergaard

Exercises like these are getting trickier since the BBWAA isn't as dumb as it used to be, but Sale's ERA is probably going to hurt him too much. The Cy Young ones are hard because pitching is just ridiculous today.

                  Re: 2015 Award Predictions

Mike Trout/Bryce Harper. Although, Paul Goldschmidt is a machine, holy cow.

Haven't taken a good long look at pitchers yet. Probably Grienke and Gray or Keuchel. Although it would be great to see Scott Kazmir rise from the ashes and nab it. won't happen though.

NL Rookie of the year, at this point, should come down to Grichuk and Duffy. Pederson should pretty much not be considered now, and Bryant has pretty sub par power numbers considering where he plays.

                  Not sure on the others.

Stil a lot of baseball left.

I'd like to change my NL ROY pick to Matt Duffy. Dudes been as consistent as a 10-yeah vet. He also used to play in the West Coast League, against the Cowlitz Black Bears (a team in my small town of Kelso WA)

                      Re: 2015 Award Predictions

Joc Pederson should absolutely be in consideration. He's just no longer the overwhelming frontrunner that he was 2 months ago.

Kris Bryant's power numbers aren't really sub-par either. Throw in the strong defense and baserunning and he's probably the best position player among rookies.

NL ROY is just really hard to predict since there are so many good candidates. I think the position players ultimately divide their votes amongst each other and Syndergaard wins because he's been a cut above his fellow rookie pitchers. It's really hard to say either way and whoever wins will squeak out a victory.

well according to mlb analysts, they are looking at Duffy taking NL RoY right now and Grimchuk(proper spelling?) as runner up.

as for AL MVP you also have to consider Josh Donaldson, hes raking right now.

I'd love to see Bryant get the NLROY but I could see it going three or four different ways.. Duffy and Syndergaard are just so good. I see Trout and Harper running away with the MVP awards. This youth movement in the MLB is awesome.

Ok. Amendment to what I said earlier, Paul Goldschmidt is MVP this year. On top of being better than Harper in a lot of categories, he's swiped 19 bases. That man is a machine. Definitely as deserving, if not more so, than Harper.

And yeah, I didn't mean Pederson should fall back and everyone should forget about him, I just meant that he is not to be in some sort of vying for winning it right now.

Bryants numbers as they are are inflated by Wrigley field, they are sub par insofar as his hype anyway. His adjusted ops is even lower than duffys. And I'm not sure what solid defense were talking about, he is negative in runs saved, as in below average. Grichuk leads rookies in extra base hits and he has about one hundred less at bats than both those guys and has a very positive runs saved count for a less than premium position.

If Grichuk gets to 21 home runs this year, that means he had a great rest of the way and probably had a lot of extra base hits. I think that will be a big factor, how much can he extend his lead of extra base hits, and that will determine if he gets it.

You don't care where I sent this from.

Um, Wrigley field has not been a hitters park this year. http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/parkfactor

I'm not a big fan of defensive metrics but besides DRS all of them have him just behind Arenado in terms of NL 3B. Bryant has also been the best baserunner in MLB sans Billy Hamilton. Bryant's numbers has really taken a dip mainly because of 1 awful month.

It will be interesting race, man this rookie class is really loaded.
