Just shot the breeze with Booker T outside of BWW for the Rousey fight. Cool dude.

Probably wasn't the best intro to refer to him as 'The late, great Booker T".

      WWE Off-Topic

Coachman on Twitter has teased something about SSlam coming up and JBL said he had a big announcement coming. Wonder if ESPN is getting into covering the big 2 WWE events some. JBL thing in all likelihood is unrelated, but it'd make sense if he was involved in any coverage

I'm just gonna leave this here... can't believe he said that. Pretty crappy. Love Bully Ray's comeback though.

I wonder at what point Dana does more damage to his brand than good. Of all the fanbases to piss off, you choose the one most likely to also be fans of your sport, and one that is pretty die hard. Wrestling fans don't take ****.

Even though at this point I have lost all respect for Punk, I now hope he goes in and destroys everyone in his weight class.

The only UFC PPV's I ever bought were the ones with Brock, so I'll be back when Punk is ready, but I've got to ask, why'd you lose all respect for him? He seems to be doing nothing but gaining it from the people he's training with.

I didn't lose respect for him for walking out of WWE. I don't care that he had a contract. If you retire, then you retire. NFL Players do it all the time so why can't Punk?

It is mostly having to do with all the BS he spread after he left, like having a hematoma and talking #### about Jericho begging him to be on his show and some other stuff he said that I found disrespectful to the industry. He threw the industry under the bus when that is what got him to where he is today. It would be like Jamie Lee Curtis throwing John Carpenter's Halloween under the bus.

That's fair. I just wonder what would have to be done to a guy who worked his entire life and loved wrestling more than anything, to just straight up not enjoy the business anymore. Obviously, we don't know the whole story and never will (although whoever wins the court case I guess will decide that bit), but to go from crying in the middle of the ring after cashing in for your first world title to hating the business, I'm guessing it wasn't all good on the other side either. Doesn't matter though, he's gone now. He'll live on through the CM Punk chants in Chicago.

lol, bash wrestling and calling it fake. But brought in a wrestler with no pro MMA bouts to compete in his company and almost instantly gave him a world title shot, while many other guys work for YEARS without getting a single shot...

And having your biggest name fighter currently in the company, dedicating her fight to a pro wrestler, and if she had it her way, would be partaking in a storyline in WWE right now(or by WM next year).

I don't even understand why it being fake would matter in this regard, I'd rather pay money to see a 40 minute well choreographed wrestling match than a half a minute squash match with Ronda.

That's the biggest question about wrestling I've always had. Why does being "fake" become such a turnoff for people? And the overused comeback by wrestling fans being like "you watch tv shows and movies too,and they're fake.".

Though even then, fake isn't the proper word. Some people are just so blinded by calling it fake, they don't even bother understanding what's real and what's scripted. If you ask someone who doesn't watch wrestling what they think is fake, I'm sure they'll say the moves are fake, they all read word for word off a script, all injuries are pretend and things like that.

I've even tried getting into UFC and I really couldn't. Fights where it goes 15-25 minutes with guys not doing much(in the viewers eye at least, they might be working hard, but it's not one of those things that comes off on camera), matches just going to the time limit and not much action happening. Guys getting suspended for taking something, guys CONSTANTLY pulling out of fights cause of injuries and other things. Just became too much.

As much as people bash WWE, you have to at least appreciate that they're able to do what they do,on a consistent basis, in a very smooth manner.

Like I tweeted Dana White, more matches=more mat time=more training=more risk of injury.

Yes wrestling is scripted as it's pre-determined as the wrestlers work with each other & allow the moves to be done. What isn't fake is the injuries & the bumps these guys & gals take from putting on a show. It doesn't bother me at all as I've been a fan dating back to the mid 80's. It's entertainment just like watching a show or movie just because it's scripted doesn't mean it can't be entertaining. I've always appreciated the moves these guys & gals can pull off sure it's scripted but it takes alot of hard work perfect them.
