Coach Mode '16?

Been checking around here and other sites, but can't find any info on whether or not coach mode made it into '16. If it has, I wonder if it's just the same as before - auto pass. Hopefully we can get a true coach mode this year.

No real Coach mode again. Only auto pass and you still have to do the kicking. No change from 15.

What a joke, how hard can it be to do this? A lot of people like to play as the coach, especially us older guys whose thumbs don't work as well as they used too. :wink:

I would like to do a CFM in a coach mode guess that's not happening, oh well maybe next year.

What a drag. Well, I guess another year skipping out on Madden. Haven't purchased a new copy of the game since '09. M12 was bought as a gift and I picked up M25 on eBay late last year for $10. Won't be buying a new version or upgrading to next gen until something changes. The way it looks now, I'll most likely NEVER be upgrading or buying Madden again.

So let me understand what your looking for. In Madden 16 you would just have to snap the ball and everything can be played out by the CPU.

And all you have to do by yourself is kick.

I mean is that not a functioning coach mode? I know in NCAA 14 there is a true coach mode.

But is this unplayable in it's current state. You can't just call plays, snap the ball and let the cpu run everything?

Just asking out of curiosity.

That pretty much sums it up. No, it's not unplayable and is not a deal breaker for me. Though I would "like" if we had a true Coach Mode it's close enough and I will be preordering today (with the discounts from Best Buy of course).

BTW, I am hoping you will be doing sliders again, I really enjoyed watching some of your Twitched games last year.

Yes. A true coach mode would be simply calling the play and snapping the ball. Kicking, punting and everything else on the field is handled by the CPU.

And no, the way it is now is not a functioning coach mode. When you snap the ball in coach mode the QB will scramble, but he will NEVER take off beyond the line of scrimmage. You want him to run, then you have to move him yourself. So basically, all coach mode is is auto-pass enabled. Not even really sure why they call this mode "coach" mode. It's auto-pass mode plain and simple.

I wouldn't mind having to kick or punt (could just super sim that), but the lack of the QB running is a breaker for me. Especially if you are playing with a QB who runs a lot. Nothing like just standing there at the LOS and taking a sack when you have nothing but green in front of you.

I would actually like the option in CFM to make it Coach Mode only so that every user in my cfm has to use coach mode... No controlling of players permitted.

That's probably the kind of thing they'll do when it's actually implemented and why it's not just some quick fix.
