I'm always the guy amongst my friends who tells everyone to give Live a chance. But wow. This dev team is always three or four steps behind where they should be. A game mode built around a PvE experience? The whole point of having an OTP game mode in your game is to allow users to play against other users. Summer Circuit seems rather pointless to me.

As for Live Run, sure, by having a solid infrastructure in place that allows for height and weight restrictions at each position and the ability to gain attribute points/XP by playing the game mode online, EA has improved on two fundamental flaws of the competitor's MyPark Mode from last year. The problem is, the competition obviously saw that a streetball/park experience wasn't what much of the basketball video game consumer base wanted. That's why they in essence resurrected Crew with their Pro-Am Mode. That's what the majority of people wanted.

Had EA just had the EASBL (with Live Run on the side as an OTP type mode for those that prefer streetball) with height and weight restrictions and the ability to earn XP while playing club online as opposed to only being able to earn XP offline, they would have, in the minds of many gamers, bested 2K. EA is and will always be the superior company when it comes to server quality in relation to online play. They needed to take advantage of that. Sadly, the dev team once again took what should be a strength for the company (online play) and turned it into a weakness.
