We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

Gameplay glimpses don't raise my hopes for some groundbreaking gameplay inovations tbh.
Players still lack awarness (KAT completely losing Howard who one his side doesn't give a about rebound positioning or boxing out) and dunk animations still magically push defenders away like a feather. No physical contact.
Disappointed for now.
I think you're jumping the gun. We can't know one way or another from this canned footage designed to make the cover athlete look like a god for hype purposes.
I'm sure the difficulty settings and everything else were tailored to produce those results.
We won't know anything until we see actual extended gameplay on at least SS level. Last year that took until a couple of weeks before release, and I expect the same this year.

I'm kinda worried because in the last 2 teasers we saw Steph swishing a 3 with a hand in his face and Harden hitting a 25 foot fadeaway.
What would you like them to show in these? Harden and Curry bricking wide open 3's with a green release?
Anyway, these trailers are actually getting me excited to try out MyCareer this year. I barely sunk any time into the mode in 2k15 due to it boring the heck out of me. Hopefully the story isn't too over the top, but I have faith in Spike Lee to give us at least a 7/10 rated story.

How would higher difficulty trigger physics?
Physics/hit detection should be present from rookie to hall of fame.
Even if it was on a lower difficulty it should still show Harden bump off the guy or make contact regardless of a dunk on animation. It would just result in an easier point on a lower setting. There should always be physical contact or hit detection. But it's pretty clear from this clip it's still not present. Which makes me sad lol

Well it's still an animation based game, but we knew that already. On a higher difficulty, there is greater likelihood of contact and a contact animation. Same with defenders showing more quickness to defend and help.

This is about where I fall on whole "MyPlayer" stuff. I'm just not into them in any sports game. But this emphasis on story and "beginnings", Spike Lee and a collegiate aspect all have me very intrigued. I really want to see where they take this thing. Like you, I didn't get very far with 2k15. At this point it's just a bonus for me because I already know what I'm getting from MyLeague (with more goodies to come) and 2K on the gameplay tip.

You can't lose faith that quick bruh. We will eventually get some gameplay. They are always late with showing us gameplay and giving details. Snippets aren't going to show us everything.

Trailer was a snoozer to me, but lighting does look improved and Wiggins legs look perfect imo. Only legs that look too big are Howard's. I really want some gameplay clips, especially with the schedule coming out yesterday; I'm craving hoops.
I don't care if people like what I'm about to say or not, but 2k and its competitor should be releasing more in-game video. Although 2k15 was a pretty good game, it did have gameplay issues. Why not release video showing how some of these issues were addressed. The Pro-Am modes sound good for both games, but with 2k's online history, how do we know this mode will even function correctly. It's like everyone forgets about the problems from the previous game once August rolls around. Watch, a bunch of people will go out and buy 2k16 day one and then get on here and bitch about legacy crap that should of been addressed prior to release.
Not really noticing a difference in the player models despite knowing they did body scans. Still seeing tree trunk legs and skinny arms. Especially Dwight Howard, who has skinny legs in reality, but in this clip and past games, still has those thick tree trunk legs.
