I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
I get sick and tired, and it mostly the top ranked players that I play who tack charges from full court, like who does that?? It makes me so sick, I hope 2k addresses this issue!!

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
I mean the only they can do about it is make sure charges aren't called beyond half courtUSA/Bama/Laker Fan -

Plus they added charge card to draw more charges. That is just handing more cheese out!Razorbacks

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
A lot of the "top ranked" players don't even know what real basketball is. I see some of the tactics that they use and I think to myself, "This would never bail them out in real life".Comment

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
The only charges I take issue with is when you are stopped and they hold it right in front of you and even a pass draws the charge. I agree that it is the responsibilty of the offensive player to be aware of his surroundings. If someone is taking charges against me it may work once, but after that I have no problem going right arouund them.Comment

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
i dont dislike but yeah, it should not be a charge when the offense player stops. but in realism, the momentum carries from the drive and it does happens wven when the pkayer tries to stop. perhaps 2k can add in a badge to be good at avoiding charge and can blow past easily for guys standing near to the perimeter or 3 pt line. most charges are called inside the paint in real life.

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
I agree. But some should be called blocking fouls to combat people from doing it so much. But it's usually easily avoidable, but just annoying because it's like avoiding mines in a minefield if the user(s) keeps doing it all over the place.
Overall, like I said, I don't mind it being in because it does combat and make people think twice that sprint up the court. But also make it a risk of more blocking fouls or something.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
I find it ridiculous that my players will get run over if I try to take a charge against baseline cheese but I could easily get a charge call if I do it while my opponent is coming up the court. Sometimes, you will be walking or doing the "skip to my Lou" while calling a play and get called for charging if a finger touches your an opposing player's body. Or you can press "B" while someone posts up and get a charge without them even backing down. I can avoid it but I find my self getting warped into charge animations when I try to go around it and sometimes there is no call and it's an easy fastbreak for my opponent.Comment

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
This and also when you're in the post slowly backing down (not even holding turbo). Those two need to to be addressed. The only charges I take issue with is when you are stopped and they hold it right in front of you and even a pass draws the charge. I agree that it is the responsibilty of the offensive player to be aware of his surroundings. If someone is taking charges against me it may work once, but after that I have no problem going right arouund them.
Personally i sometimes draw charges on the sideline. If a guy turbo's along the sideline to get to the baseline it's really all you can do. If i body him up and he steps out of bounds i get a blocking foul. If i manage to stay next to him all the way to the baseline, he'll just somehow slip by in the corner. If i wait on the baseline trying to take a charge i'll just get run over without a call OR he'll get an and1...
Other than that i sometimes try it against zigzaggers but that rarely works.Comment

Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
Yeah, I feel like 2K has already addressed the full court charges for the most part. It's really just the one described above that I take issue with at this point. Otherwise, I find it to be pretty easy to go around guys now.The only charges I take issue with is when you are stopped and they hold it right in front of you and even a pass draws the charge. Re: I hope charge "cheese" gets removed
Complaining about charges is crazy.. That's the one cheese you can actually control. I've drawn over 10 charges in a game wayyy too many times, and it's always because some dude is either blind as a bat, doesn't pass, dribble cheeses all over the place, or dribble/sprints up court without thinking.
Take out the charges and you got yourself a much bigger problem in a game where defense is already hard enoughComment
