Has anyone else noticed a lot of ties in their CFM? Ive noticed a lot of ties when I simulate the computer's games.

Yup. It's been a problem for a few years.
I finally started my dynasty this month. Seven weeks in and there's already been two ties in the regular season.
Not a major issue in the grand scheme of things, but it hurts the immersion to see so many ties. -

Had a team go 10-3-3 in my CFM, this past year. I doubt you would ever see that IRL Football, except maybe in the premier league. Lol
Definitely occurs at to high of a probability, but it's not as bad as the created draft classes surnames, or lack there of... I have a league with 6 Umodu's, but ZERO Smith's, Williams' or Johnson's(from the draft classes)!... Talk about immersion killing. How believable is that, EA?Comment

Yeah most NFL seasons in real life usually only have 1 or 2 games that end in a tie.
But in the season of Madden 16 that I simulated, there were 5 games that ended in a tie:

Five games into my reboot and there's already been a tie. There were two through the first six games of my first franchise.
It really shouldn't annoy me as much as it does, but I wish they'd tone down the ties in franchise.Comment

Been an issue since that real life tie game that McNabb played in. Tiburon overreacted and there's been multiple tie games built into the sim engine ever since.Comment

Is it just me or have the tie games gotten even worse this year? I always noticed a couple ties the past madden but I've seen 5 in the first 7 weeks in my CFM. I've always been one to ignore things like this but man it has really messed with what has been an exciting playoff race so far. The Giants have 2 ties, I have 1 (against them), Dallas has 1 (vs Giants), the 6-0 Panthers just had a tie game, and Cincinnati had a tie in week 4.Comment

I just beat the 7-7-2 Toronto Huskies in my CFM Superbowl. Yeah there's too many ties in this game. Also it seems like too many bad teams. A lot of teams seem to go 4-12 or 5-11. Division winners often have poor records.

To be fair, this (poor sim engine, not the ties in particular) are a problem for all sports games. There simply too many players around the same ratings for a sim engine to create varied results on a regular basis. You can notice this when you look at team OVR within CFM versus play now, most teams are within a few points of each other.
So basically if most teams are close to each other, the sim engine will produce roughly 50/50 results leading to all teams ending up about the same; with a few outliers of course
EDIT: I actually think Madden does a better job than other sports games at this; it is much more likely to get a 15-1 season in madden than 68-14 season in nba 2k, for example.Comment
