Trailer looks amazing. Much more than i expected this early. Only issue i have is with the so called "scanned shoes". IMO they look terrible (look at the 2:18 mark). nothing at all as i expected...Probably the only eyesore in the vid, but not a deal breaker. Game looks beautiful. -

It's almost like his face is too smooth and it doesn't look as realistic as the rest...
Then I look at this:

and it somewhat makes sense, lol

NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
Well I do feel that the earlier games captured the tones around his eyes and general shine and complexion better.
The new AD looks like he removed his makeup after an exfoliating rinse and a hard night of partying or something.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
I remember back when they had Nash licking his fingers on walk up...... maybe now they've done the guts of it (2K14 and 2K15) they've been able to start touching cosmetic things.....
It seems the celebrations are more signature aswell - I thought they were blanket post basket animations last year with maybe a few unique ones.
Rose, KD, Davis, Faried (to name a few) looked pretty damn close to the real ones celebrations.... could just be a well made trailer though....Comment

If only I had the game lol
Faried and Melo took the biggest step back IMO. Davis isn't too far behind.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
IMO the NBA 2K series has been the standard in sports video game commentary for a long while....they just have a knack for capturing the broadcast feel...to me, that's a bit more important than WHO they get...
I can listen to Dan Stevens and Peter Okeefes commentary from over 10 years back, and to be honest it sound more fluid than anything we've heard since in any NFL game....
So I just want to make sure we don't lose any momentum from what the current team has built with whoever they decide to pick up...
If ya'll want to remove that crazy *** Harlan laugh I'm all for it though

I think the key is, 2K minimizes the dead air during a game. Always talking.....of course we will hear things again and again and I guess you ultimately tune it out a bit, but the fact talking is always happening feels real.
LD said more on presentation soon - so that's gonna be another 50 page thread surely haha......
DYING to see a snippet from broadcast cam with commentary etc. though...... TNT score bug at the bottom and all. HAHA!Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
No kidding. No blocks from AD? No sick handle pullups from Durant? No behind the back cross stepback 3 from Curry? NOT A SINGLE THREE FROM CURRY FOR THAT MATTER?! Not a single steal and transition dunk? No flopping from James Harden?
But the sweat-- really nailing it this year. Best sweat since 2K11. Well better than 2K11, but that was the last time sweat effects were really compelling. They finally adjusted it so that it produces white hot highlights.
That's all coming in the next trailer.....tomorrow right LD?

Re: NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
I can't remember the last time I was this hyped for a sports game (maybe NFL 2k5 or MVP 2005). This is probably the wrong place to make this type of comment, but for me sports games are in general a tier below other types of video games such as RPG, RTS, FPS, etc. Games like Mass Effect and Halo have always gotten me much more excited than a sports game.
I think this 2k game may bridge the gap like few other sports games have. The biggest reason is I have Madden 16 and am actually enjoying the game quite a bit even with its' bugs. I would think I'd be more excited to play it, but after every Madden session I've had all I can think is, "That was fun, but man I can't wait for 2k." or "This should hold me over until 2k."
We obviously haven't seen the finished product or even played a game, but I just want to say thank you to the entire NBA 2k team. It sure looks like you brought it this year.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Trailer - Winning
This is what I'm waiting for....need to see the whole package. Fluid animations, different player body types, the crowds...hopefully with sound and no music overlaying the atmosphere..Comment
