I don't know about anyone else but I love the pump fake in madden and use it to easily draw a defender off a step or two. It says to pump fake you click the left stick but is there any way to pump fake towards a specific receiver this year?

Remember the days where you would double tap the receiver icon and it would pump fake to that guy, that was great. I miss that too

The past cpl years it's been that u push pump fake AND the receiver buttons at the same time and he would fake in that receivers direction. Haven't gotten to play this years yet so not sure if it's the same or not.

I posted this question in the Q/A and received no response. They must have removed it which, for some reason, really bothers me.

I don't think many people still use it. I like it for certain pass concepts, so it's a huge deal for me too. It makes me feel like have less control in manipulating coverage.

Just checked. You click the left analog stick to pump fake on xbox.

what about the slide?


I tapped dive, (X) on XBOX ONE, and my QB dove forward and fumbled, I can't get it to slide, and its not in the control list in settings

Slide still works, I've done it twice on PS4 already. Just takes a really light, quick tap and make sure you're past the LOS.

I'm on PS4, and I tried using the left analog button during passing plays in practice, but I was unable to use the fake. I didn't have the updated installed yet, so perhaps there was a fix in the update. I will try in a play now game when I get back home.

Anyone on PS4 confirm left analog controls pump fake?
