Initial impressions:
BAD:
-Feels a lot like '15. Not saying that's terrible but it just felt the same.
-Commentary is a bore.
-My DBs seem to be brain dead. CPU receivers just wide open. I literally. Had a Safety stand and watch the ball go over his head for a TD. He stopped running for some reason.
-Aggresive/RAC/Possession catches are a good idea to me but something about it just feels like cheese. Maybe it's the pop up. Don't know yet. I do like the physicality of the contact though.
-The game feels fast even on Slow.
-Need a more robust halftime show.
GOOD:
-The running game. Although the whole "locomotion" seems overpowering at times, there seem to be true holes up the middle. I had my Center and RG double team a DL and push the line forward. A year ago, the HB would've just fell at that spot.
-I like the pop up stats for some strange reason.
-CPU QBs will run if they don't see anything open downfield.
-The WR/DB and OL/DL line interactions are great. Biggest prove meant IMO.
-I saw a DPI penalty with the slider set to 100. Although it was only one for the entire game, it seems like it will be a factor this year. There was too much contact on that play so it felt good.
Overall, it's good. Very similar to last year but I feel it's more intricate as far as controls go. Definitely need practice to learn how to do some of the more complex stuff naturally.
I would hate to play this game online though. I think it'd be a cheeser's wet dream with all of the improvements to offense.
So far: 8.5/10
