Super Sim broken? Best clock settings for player only CFM?

    Super Sim broken? Best clock settings for player only CFM?

    Seems the clock portion of Super Sim is broken. Clock is being burned down for the duration of the play, but not in between plays. It's as if the whistle is blown dead after every play.

    This is causing problems in player CFM where you have to Super Sim when you're player is not on the field. Has anyone figured out what clock settings will work to get some realistic number of plays?

    I haven't done player mode this year, but in the past I've done 6-7 minutes w/I accelerated clock

      I'm having the same issue, I made an LB and it seems like my Offense only holds onto the ball for maybe a minute or two at a time. I'm doing 8 minute quarters and I'm consistently getting 11 min to 5 min time of possesions going the CPUs way, sometimes worse. It's fairly annoying when you get off the field 2 mins left and you go back on the field with 1:05 remaining.

        Hasn't Super Sim always been broke?? I recall the time between players being an issue with previous Madden games...like it was never changed when they introduced the accelerated clock some years back...

          I wouldn't say always broken. It used to work well. How far back, I can't recall.

            LOL.

            Super Sim is stilll broken !!

            6 minute quarters, I think, no acc. clock -- to get you b/t 120-130 total plays per game -- on average.

              Super Sim is very broken this year. RBs are lucky to have more than 2 yards per carry.

                I don't know what to say other than I'm amazed this still isn't fixed!!

                This means we still can't play 15 minute quarters without seeing terrible stats? Players still don't get injured/fatigued?

                I would be happy if they just allowed us to watch the plays when our player isn't on the field. CFM was advertised as being a mix-up of Super Star and Franchise. But if we create a league where one user is a coach and want to use 15 minute quarters and another user is a player stats will be jacked up. Add to that that progression/XP is highly tied to stats, well... I don't like to use the term "broken", but it is what it is!

                  Nah, this needs to be patched asap. If it's been bad like this before, I didn't notice. It's horrible this year. All my RBs do is lose yards how in the hell is RBs constantly losing 5-12 yards on a play? My RB would have like 25 carries and 10 yards. Like for multiple games.

                  It needs to be fixed asap because being a player isn't fun at all. If you're on defense, your team can rarely score. If you're on offense, the CPU will get blew out.

                    its been this way for at least 5 years. average super sim play is 6 seconds long. you can super sim a 3 and out on defense and get the ball back in less than 30 seconds. this is one of those absolutely unacceptable items that has somehow squeaked thru testing every year for the last 5 years. i dont know what makes me more mad...the idea that this team cares more about packing in new features for half of its users over fixing yearly broken aspects or that they clearly just dont care enough about the consumer to test their product at all.

                        This has been messed up for at least 4-5 years.

                        The real problem is that super sim does not take the accelerated clock into effect. So only 6-10 seconds comes off per play simulated. If you play with 15 minute quarters and 20 sec accelerate clock you get a realistic amount of possessions (120-130 per game) and stats when you play a full game. But when using super sim that same 15 minute game will suddenly have 250+ possessions and laughably high inflated stats.

                        The only way to avoid this issue to not use super sim at all, or use 6-7 minute quarters and turn acclelerated clock off completely so both you and the CPU will have about the same amount possession time.

                        I don't know why they have never fixed this. I even Tweeted them about it, and dutifully listed in bug threads for a couple years, but year after year it never gets fixed.

                        I think they don't view it as broken (kind of a head scratcher) or they can't fix it because it breaks something else. So I don't think it will ever be fixed and will never take the accelerated clock into affect.

                        It took them 4 years to fix that the wind arrow pointed in the wrong direction during FG's and XP's. And that was a lot more obvious than this. So I'm guessing it will take another 4-5 years for them to fix this.

                          Yea I am playing 9 mins no accel and getting good results and balance I see a lot .. Super sim is a very sad problem that the time per play is so short.. Plus the super sim sacks and tackles for loss are killer..

                            Yeah, it's both. It's weird. When I first started, the RBs was cool but the QB would be terrible. Always throwing it away, getting sacked, or throwing a INT. And at the end of the game would have like a 40 QBR. Now, it's my RBs. The offense on supersim all around needs to just be fixed.

                              This is why I've never done a player CFM, even though I've wanted to. You're forced to super sim part of the game, and you end up with ridiculously bad stats. I was hoping it was finally fixed this year.
