    Can't contain my excitement!!

    Hi Guys/Gals!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this kind of thing so my apologies in advance!

I'm ashamed to say I've never visited the USA, although I have always had a passion for your sports. I'm coming over on the 8th of November this year to New York!! I've managed to get tickets for the Knicks vs Lakers at Madison Square Garden! You guys will probably laugh but I cannot contain myself!!

Living in France I'd be just as excited as you are. You're gonna have a great time.

Just make sure you get a pic of Kobe's game winner jumpshot for me.

Thanks mate! I just can't believe it and the next day I'm going for a tour around Yankee Stadium then on to a cruise around the Caribbean!

Congrats man, you're going to have a great time.

I know this is the NBA forum, but of the things you listed (Yankee stadium, Caribbean cruise, NYC in general), going to the LA/NYK game will probably be the least exciting of your trip.

          Knicks/Lakers? I'm sorry man.

But nah, it'll be a blast. Haven't been to New York but I'm sure you'll keep busy lol.

I just wish I had more time, so much to see and do in just two days! The trip itself is for my wife's 40th birthday but I've been a lifelong NBA fan so she's OK with us going to the game

Is it true that the arena won't serve beer to non U.S. residents?

Congrats! You'll enjoy yourself. NY is a busy city with lots of things to do.

Don't know about the beer question though.

Two days?!? It's tough to say don't go to the game but man, if I only had 2 days in NYC with the chance of maybe never going back, I don't know if I'd want to spend a couple of hours in the Garden. So much to see, so little time.

I don't know the rules with serving beer in The Garden, but I promise you there are a million places around there that will so just take a break while watching the game if that's the case. You'll have time to get caught up.

I know what you mean but I have a strong feeling we will be going back for my 40th in two years if not sooner!

Flight to New York, MSG tickets to see the Knicks and Lakers?

I don't blame you for staying 2 day's...it was probably expensive, lol

Have fun man, soak it all in.

Going to the MSG to see a NBA game is huge for a NBA fan from outside the US.

No doubt... but if I had 2 days in NYC with my lady (who isn't a huge NBA fan) I may opt out of going to the game. More props to all there is to do in the city than a knock on the Knicks/Lakers game.

                          Can't contain my excitement!!

I'm actually quite fortunate that my wife likes sports, she loves the atmosphere of the crowds.

I think it's even more special for us European guys/gals that don't get to go to NBA games or even watch a game on the TV without a subscription. It's like someone from the states who loves a premiership football/soccer team and goes their city but not to a game. I hope that makes sense. For me it's like a dream come true especially at MSG! I just wish it was my favourite team the Bulls although I know it will be great seeing Kobe and Anthony!

You'll have a blast mate. MSG is amazing, got to go there Christmas Day 2013 for the Thunder Knicks game and loved every second (even though it wasn't a close game lol). And luckily enough I'm heading back January and get to see the thunder again and the clippers. As for the serving of alcohol to non US residents I have no idea sorry. I was too hungover that day to consider it haha. Enjoy.

Take some pictures of Kobe and Carmelo going at it. I'm sure they are bound to guard each other at one point.

I understand your excitement, I'd go crazy too!
