Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
I did some initial testing on this earlier tonight. At 100, acceleration ratings are essentially nullified, so it isn't particularly realistic. At 0, there is a lot more separation between fast and slow players. Near default isn't too bad frankly....I am going to look at ranges somewhere between 45-55.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love. -

Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
I am using 0 again and want true separation from elite speed and average to below average speed.
I think this year it is really working far better than last year. Speed kills and you will get explosive plays from explosive players.
As you should.
It makes double coverage, spy, and defensive adjustments part of the puzzle and the chess game. I am really digging the speed ratings and the threshold this year has it pretty on point.
Zero for me.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
I see both sides of the discussion.
I agree that speed isn't the only thing that's important in football so I can support increasing it.
On the flip side, in some situations speed IS a major factor so I can see lowering it.
To that end, I just leave it at 50.
Either way, the speed threshold slider seems to have a HUGE impact on the game.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!Comment

Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
what cautions me away from lowering it and making faster players get more separation is the fact that rookies come in with jacked speed ratings, much higher then the default rated roster. I feel that lowering it will magnify that. I leave mine at 50 and have no complaints.Comment

Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
After some more test games this morning I am re-thinking the threshold setting this season.
I am moving it up and testing at 15, 20, 25 etc. I am sure I can find a sweet spot to get it whee I want.
But 0 is not the way this year. Amazing what happens after more games are played with various players.
Speed is deadly on M16...really deadly. I want that to show, but no over power the game.
One thing that really stands out this year and kudo's to the Dev team is I am not seeing lineman and slow LB's chasing down CB's, WR's and RB's who are in a full head of steam down the sideline.
Really well done this year. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: What are thoughts on Speed Parity this year?
I'm the odd one I guess, so few players really have extreme speed that it seems to me it needs to show, I drop it down to 35 and honestly it seems really good. Nothing bugs me more then some 90 year old safety with 82 speed stride for stride with players who have more acceleration and substantially more speed. Speed is real, you see it on the field every game, players get burnt, it happens.Comment
