Some of the hits on the WRs when they go up for aggressive catch have me saying OOOOOOOOOOOOOO weeeeeee. Get your timing down and you can deliver Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater type of hits on WRs trying to catch the ball. I once hit a WR in his legs from behind when he jumped and he did a 180 flip dropping the ball.

I do wish we had more control over high tackles and leg tackles. We should be able to decide what we want. As it is now the only way to get leg tackles is to start off from further away and hope the ball carrier don't juke out of the way. But when you do land one, it is a pretty sight to see. I up ended Blount like that when he was coming through the hole. And when you hit stick a smaller player with a much bigger player, that animation is nasty.

Also love the fact much stronger players can carry smaller players on their back for a few additional yards and you see the smaller player holding on for dear life on the bigger player's back.

Just went to play my 2nd Franchise game and rechecked settings. Defensive Holding slider is not saving. No matter what I set it to when I go back in it is reset back to 50. Anyone else?

My first game was fun...won 28-21. Second game was a frustrating one...lost 48-14 but that wasn't the frustrating thing. That Matchup stick screen was staying on the screen even if I didn't want it to come on the screen. So it wouldn't let me make any presnap adjustments.

Yeah, I have this problem as well.

If you go into your slider settings from the main menu instead of the CFM menu to set your sliders and then import them into your CFM this will allow the defensive holding slider to work properly. The penalty sliders will only adjust in rates of 5 from the main menu set up, but once imported into your CFM you can then make adjustments to it one point at a time.

Playing with an undisciplined team is VERY challenging. I was playing with the Cardinals against the Raiders and the Raiders were blowing me out 27 to 0 by halftime because of all my defensive penalties. 5 offsides, 4 were due to that offside bug though. Happened 4 times in a row too. Then I had 7 defensive holding penalties.

I was loving it and hating it at the same time. I kept thinking to myself my goodness Cardinals you guys really lack discipline. Add to that, none of my DBs could hang with Amari Cooper, he was killing me, along with their other WR. Patrick Peterson was getting torched every passing play. Add to that, the Raiders new running back DeMarco Murray was running wild.

It was the worst butt kicking I ever took by the CPU in Madden. Ratings really matter and when your team don't match up well, lord have mercy. Might as well hold on for dear life because you about to be taken for a ride. Woodson had Fitzgerald on lockdown, he couldn't catch anything. And Floyd kept dropping passes. I couldn't run because Mack and the other Raiders LB shut that down.

Truly all around humbling experience.

I just keep having great games. Coming from an online guy who plays every sports game online, EA did an awesome job with the AI this year. Even though Ive never played cfm (due to hating playing the AI) it might be my mode of choice this year once the bugs are fixed

This game is actually pretty good. I have been a Madden guy since Madden 96, and this one easily creates the best games. The only issues that I have our the goal glitches, but those are getting fixed. My quarterback was 19 of 23 in the first half with 3 td passes and no ints. For some reason when he came out at halftime all of his pass accuracy ratings were at 60. It was a 21-17 games. I lost 45-21 because he could not complete a pass. Ended the day 21 of 73 with 7 interceptions. Not a common stat-line for Aaron Rodgers.

I LOATHE the fact that they changed the online H2H to eliminate all options.

I finally figured out that if I did not select AND save my custom playbooks before EVERY game that it would default to the Team Specific books...had to suffer through 3 games with playbooks I did not want because of that little gift...

The biggest thing to me is why take away options like the ability to choose the weather? or the stadium? or the time of day? or the uniforms? WHY?!?!??!

I get the fact that some online players would abuse this by wearing mess up combinations or matching dark-on-dark jerseys (or white-on-white) to mess with people, but you always had the choice to simply NOT PLAY THOSE PEOPLE if you just paid attention during the match-up screen!!

I spend nearly 90% of my Madden time online because I find the CPU to be wholly predictable and inadequate as an opponent by October every year and I play Madden year-round. This year's game does a TON of things I really like (and a few I find insufferably bad too), but this lack of online selection options is really pissing me off. If these options get added back in to the game as DLC my head will explode.

EA...when making these decisions of what to leave alone and what to sztrip out of the game, it is ALWAYS the right decision to leave it in and allow the players to control things more NOT LESS!!!

What's really bad is that I can change everything in Practice Mode but can't do it in the games online at all.

I also think the idea of not allowing you to see what team your opponent is using is a hideous decision as well...there were hundreds of times last year where I would try to match-up against my opponent - either for playing rivalry games like Cowboys-Eagles or Bears-Packers or to get better match ups if the opponent wanted to use lower rated teams or higher rated teams...now? GONE.

Then there is the fact that you could choose to play random weather conditions (which pretty much NEVER cahnged from default "partly cloudy") or the rain, snow, wind, day, night times...now? GONE.

You could mix up the stadiums and use London or Fawcett or any home stadium in the online games...now? GONE.

EA Sports has literally killed off 90% of the options available to make online games more fun and more variable rather than completely boring and controlled.

Hideously bad decision Rex. HIDEOUS! Congratulations, you finally made a game that seems like it has real promise and real football mechanics and enforces better decisions and rewards good play calling and match-ups and then you ripped the options for online play (and ONLY online play since I can change these things offline line and in practice modes) completely out of the game...

I'd smack my head in angst, but what's done is done and this heinous decision has ruined my M16 experience.

I agree. Instead of trying to find a way to curb some of the cheesy tactics some use, they just totally do away with it. At least make it to where if you are play home you can only wear the different home uniforms, and vice versa. And i cant count on both hands the number of times i have to play the seahawks/colts/broncos/pats with the bucs/rams/phins/skins. For a unranked match, that would be ok. But in a ranked match im trying to matchup.

Also, everyone with Twitter should be tweeting rex to not mess with qb accuracy. I tweeted him this morning. And if you are an h2h type of guy, tweet him about taking away options befote we start a game.

Picked up game today been playing a couple of hours now.
Best thing I have seen is cpu vs cpu Buccs vs Browns totally amazing. The game is beautiful in this format. The game is so realistic in this mode how on earth have they not put this is CFM? I would love literally love to play as a owner in this mode it is magnetic EA

I cannot get over how good this game looks in this mode truly fabulous. Come on now this is the future for owner mode EA surely it cannot be difficult to do.

Will start a CFM when patches drop as advised by Rex and then will have to play auto pass and lock to HB so my QB does run occasionally. It does not look anywhere near as good as the broadcast cpu vs cpu view tho imo.

Really enjoying game on the whole well as stated a few times the cpu vs cpu mode. Thinking who to watch next Raiders vs Titans appeals.

I can confirm this. It happens when you import custom sliders and manually change it. If you leave the slider menu in CFM and then go back, it resets back to 50.

I don't care foe the highlighted circle underneath your controlled player. To me, the less graphics on the field, the better. Either have a circle under them so it's transparent... that isn't colored in (if that makes sense), or just have the names underneath the player.


I tried turning this off, but I don't see the option. Anybody know if it's possible?

Any know if this can be turned off?

Menus have gotten screwy on me. What I mean is when you look at either boxscore of a game or look at roster/salary page where you can change positions(by hitting R2) is stuck on screen and you can't scroll right to look at more stats/ratings.

as someone who brought madden 15 back to the store after 2 weeks because of the hot mess robo qb was, among other things, I really like 16 so far.

I never return video games. Just looking at it on my shelf sickened me.

You are getting there Madden team. Not perfect by any means but much better. Kudos.
