Bball iq and knowledge matter again. Thank you 2k. There wont be any excuses left now. Realistic and intelligent head to head basketball is back. I feel sorry for the guys who only know iso and high screen and rolls on offense. Its back to scoring under 80 a game in 12 min quarters for you. Time to step your game up. Great Blog. This game is looking to be beastly. LOL. From the small clips, the off ball animations look to be much improved. Hopefully I'm right. This should improve court spacing and overall off ball movement. One thing I can't stand about 2k basketball is the auto defensive stance. It kills natural looking movement off the ball.
Can't wait to jump into mycareer. This game looks to be sick!!!!!Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog with Scott O'Gallagher
I never imagined this in one year. I didn't think they could do all of this in one year though. It could have took more than a year to complete this though but wow man this sounds insane.
That pick and roll settings menu sounds like it has to be crazy and has to be everything I thought they needed to add but they went and outdid what I thought they could do by 100 times.
There were like 2 defensive threads that really popped off on OS that I remember plenty of people posting in.
1. There was about pick and roll settings not providing the right matchups needed to guard certain schemes
2. Defensive match ups and why the CPU never adjusts by placing their best defenders on you.
You have to be a basketball junkie to put this all in a game man. Team specific strategies wow man, they even got the Jordan rules I say damn!!
Scott please let me know if I can save settings?Comment

Wasn't hype prior to this. Now I'm hype. Defense is here.
My player people not being able to put up 60 easy is music to my ears. I have no interest in my player/online but that represents the game across the board

Basically the Pistons implemented a special defense to try and contain Jordan. They beat him up and forced him to certain areas of the court to "lessen" his strengths. If he made it to the hole, they destroyed him in the paint.

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
Before I go further. I just want to say between what we've seen of the gameplay, the customisation and the game modes. This is the basketball game Ive been dreaming off since I was a little kid.
Thank you 2k. Especially to these dedicated devs that are constantly doubted and over criticised.
However.... and I SINCERELY hope I'm wrong about this...
Casual fans and popular youtubers will;
- Complain about defense being overpowered.
- Complain about not being able to take over a game (like last year with shot fatigue).
- Complain that the game is TOO real and not fun to play.
- Complain that you can't break guys ankles as easily.
- Complain that everything is in the CPUs favour (50/50 balls and the like).
2k will succumb to the pressure and by patch #2 a lot of this stuff will have been changed.Comment

And that is when I will suck it up and play the game with no patches .
I don't think that will happen though, it seems they went out of their way to nerf all that BS this dev cycle. Seems real far fetched they'll go back in a change everything they worked so hard on this year.
Seems like sim gameplay was their MAIN focus and they put all their time and resources into it
