Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
The current thougt process is this... If you want to score a hundred points per game put it on pro default. We are moving towards allowing the settings to determine the experience.
That is a process that will take multiple cycles but it is how we see the game progressing moving forward.
Music to my ears.

I always found hof sim to be the most realistic in user vs. User games. On lower levels it was to easy to shoot from the perimeter, and the defense was not strong enough. Is this the case this year? The current thougt process is this... If you want to score a hundred points per game put it on pro default. First of all thanks for addressing my question (again! I was the guy on youtube asking about warriors weave offense and okc offense)The current thougt process is this... Do you expect the online side of it to be superstar sim by default? Despite such a large casual fan base playing online modes like team up, myteam, proam etc. Essentially funneling people into a more "sim" experience?
I love what you guys are doing. And the fact that this is just year one (in a sense) makes it all the more exciting.
And it's great the online and offline can be altered separately (if I understand what Chris was saying).Comment

Man I really would like to know which difficulties are being used for the different online modes. I hope Pro-Am is on Superstar with SIM sliders.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
The happy medium should be having the ability to select your way of playing in Ranked, MyTeam and Pro-Am Online Game Modes which is simple and which is why i don't understand for all those year 2k haven't implemented yet.
That's what FIFA already does having the ability to select your "difficulty" and "control settings" (such as auto or semi manual or full manual)
So what should 2k do is simple let gamers choose whether they want to match in Ranked, MyTeam or Pro-Am modes as follows;
Difficulty Settings (Rook,Pro,AllStar,Superstar,HOF)
Slider Settings (Default, Casual, Sim)
* Optional - def auto asistance etc settings(not needed entirely but option)
If all left as is make it default 2k Settings
That way you don't have to think 2k players can get the hang of themselves as they like and like to challenge.Last edited by ataman5; 09-06-2015, 12:23 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
There were already some post plays in 2k15 that often caused a switch where a 3 was guarding a low post 4 or 5 due to the play motion. This year Czar rebuilt almost all the plays so I expect there will be play options to create mismatches in lots of places.
2k15 Swing Motion was able to create some mismatches in freelance, too. I expect we'll see even more of that from redone freelance this year.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
Now that I realize it most popular youtubers play mycareer, myteam, park, and this year pro-am.
They won't be playing regular NBA basketball with regular rosters and the only time they will be using regular NBA teams is when they are controlling their CAP in mycareer.
In myteam they will have an all-star team with current and legendary players
in park and pro-am they will be playing with their CAPS in a pick-up game type setting.
Their gaming experience doesn't really call for "Sim basketball" imo, so that's why I can see them not being excited or in some cases not caring about the new gameplay innovations.Last edited by Yuss; 09-06-2015, 12:46 PM.Comment

Or he's just trolling for views and subscriptions. He's just trying to be different and goes way overboard with it.
But you know, he's irrelevant right now and so are all of his opinions because this game looks incredible. Everything about it.
Now if a VC dev/2K rep just wants to drop a line and confirm that shoes are still customisable this year, I'll drop out of university and dedicate my next year to this game.
