Cant stand the suction tackling during juke moves. For example if I start to a juke to the left a yard or two away and the defender starts his tackle animation, the tackle animation will cancel my juke move and suck me into the defender from two yards away!!! All juke to tackle animations need to be redone to make them more natural looking, they need to be all driven by physics. Jukes are like tackle magnets in this game, you have to start juking five yards way for it to be effective. I think part of the issue is that true step is not on defense, making defenders have no reaction to jukes.

Remember that video prior to release of Whitten not being hit by other CPU players when he was being gang tackled?
Well this is should erase that doubt.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
No doubt big runs do happen, but my problem is that it's not consistent enough especially for elite backs. It's not so much that they're not able to occasionally get off nice runs, it's that they rarely seem to utilize their entire arsenal of moves. I'm not noticing a big enough difference between elite backs & average backs in this regard.Fully disagree. I had Marcellis Bennet take a swing pass on the edge...turn upfield and juke not one but 2 LB's right in front of him to take it in for. 27 yard catch and run TD.
Depends in the ratings of the player etc. i see CPU ball carriers doing more than they ever have before.
I also play no switch defense which imo is a huge factor.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
It happens on default All-Pro too. There is usually one Safety/Defensive Back who crashes runs when they are in zone while everyone else takes their initial steps backwards before they recognize run.
The safety never runs up like that on playaction though.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
Sim stats still need a lot of work. For cpu controlled team's stats: not enough tackles for loss, int yards. For my team it claims like half of my def players haven't allowed a single catch all year. Fumble yards are still messed up too, two guys have 65,000+ and everyone else has 8 or less. Was like this last yr also. Also zero blocked kicks for the entire league. Punt return averages are also much too low.
Disappointing to still see all these errors as some have been present in prior versions as well. Hope to see this corrected as there have been strides made in other areas.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
Is anyone else dealing with issues like this? It only happens when I run PA passes but it's like if I even move the stick a hair, this is what happens. All I'm trying to do is step up or move a step to the right or left and it turns into absolute chaos lol.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
One thing I would like to point out is how Draft Champions doesn't have offline reporting. If there's an issue with a server mid-game it's best to just go ahead and quit because it won't report the results even after reconnecting to the server post game. It seems a little dated considering years ago Online Dynasties in NCAA were able to report offline games despite mid game disconneection against the CPU. It's not a deal breaker, but considering the seervers have a mind of their own at times (they have been really good for me up to this point) it would be a nice implementation into the game with a patch.
Overall I'm really enjoying the game, but I have the urge to fire up a Franchise and I won't as long as the issues with player progression still stand. It's a beautiful game with refreshing changes to the gameplay from last year's game. I like that I finally have pretty good control of where I put my passes and it's also based on QB statistics. It's very noticeable playing with different quarterbacks around the league.
I'm giving MUT a fair shake this time around and between that and Draft Champions I'm surviving without CFM, but It won't be long before I'll have to take a break until the patch. I would play more online against randoms (I've completed 5 games), but the slight delay in online gameplay can be a little annoying when you come from playing offline against the cpu.
This is also the first year in quite a while where I've enjoyed playing defense and don't feel cheated by the CPU. There have been minimal robo QB moments for me and no games where the likes of Jay ****ing Cutler completes 90% of his passes for 300 yards and 3 TDs.
I've got a few complaints, but it's nothing really worth mentioning right now. I'll give the devs time to sort it out with the patch before I worry about it. I can't wait to fire up my monotonous franchise (let's face it.. this area of the game is in desperate need of some love). The gameplay is enough to keep me going for now. It's fun running various offensive schemes annd watching plays set up beautifully. I no longer feel afraid to call a play action pass for fear of being hammered when the defense has 3 down linemen and a zone. That **** happened way too often last year.
The game plays best on All Pro. All Madden has a few issues with "realism" that irk me too much. If you can find a solid set of sliders like Armour and Sword's on All Pro and maybe make a few of your own tweaks like I did you can really turn this game into something nice.
I'll quit rambling now... solid edition of Madden. It's the best I've played in quite some time.Last edited by AUChase; 09-07-2015, 05:22 AM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
I am very impressed with this year's game; played a 60 minute game yesterday and hated to see the game end. I actually woke up this morning thinking about this game. This is the first time is many many years that I've been this excited about a football game.Comment

Play Action is butter in this game. If you do not establish a run game then PA will never work just like real life.Is anyone else dealing with issues like this? Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
I just cant get into All Pro. I tried to give it a test with custom sliders and nothing. That mode is easy and the CPU does little to offer a challenge. Might be fine for people not use to playing a lot of madden. One thing I would like to point out is how Draft Champions doesn't have offline reporting. Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
I can't express enough how impressed I am with Madden 16!!! Absolutely loving this game. The way the players interact with each other. The competitive games I'm seeing using Coach Suggestions. And don't get me started on the fact that when there is a penalty you can go and see if play out in replay. It's a fantastic game. In my personal opinion, it's the best Madden to date.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
Well, I've played a lot of Madden since the early 90's and it's all-pro for me. This year, with sliders slightly tilted towards the CPU, all-pro provides a much better challenge for me vs previous years.I just cant get into All Pro. I tried to give it a test with custom sliders and nothing. That mode is easy and the CPU does little to offer a challenge. Might be fine for people not use to playing a lot of madden.

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
Same as me. I've played since very first Madden and my level is somewhere between all pro and all madden. So I just play all pro with sliders towards cpu. Just can't play a level that blatantly cheats. Noone will ever convince me all madden doesn't cheat. Game is tuned on all pro so I start there and adjust as needed.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 16 Community Impressions
I have liked this Madden from the first game. It just feels much smoother than other Madden's up to this point.
I don't like that I cannot scout development but I love the combine numbers.
Game Prep
I think we should be able to drill any position.
Why does QB have 5+ drills to choose from and RB has 1 and tight-end have 0?
And of course, it is almost pointless anyway. I have been drilling my rookies who have fast/star development WITH coach trait and I get anywhere from 120-250 xp. That comes out to be around 3500 xp for a season. Why even bother spending the time to go through the drills when at the end of the season I cant raise any significant trait in any significant way. And give up on ever raising an average player to quick. By the time you get his xp raised up, it will be a waste to use xp on development.Comment
