Madden 16 Classic Rosters

Just trying to get an idea of what type of rosters the community is working on this year for Madden 16?

I'm thinking about bringing over my 1990's File from Madden 25 and just copying over the data to Madden 16 since EA has yet to give us a way to merge files from one year to the next.

I think this years game especially play now mode is awesome and these types of rosters can brought to life beautifully with the graphics and animations in the game.

The Sliders appear to work great which is a added bonus and I love watching the Play Now CPU vs CPU games.

Itching to get a Deion Sanders matchup vs Michael Irvin or Jerry Rice going in Madden 16.

Also if anyone interested me and tcoaker still have tons of ratings information we found on older players around late 1980's throughout the 90's.

Won't let me vote, but I would definitely go with '90s roster. Your roster from 25 was great!

I am currently working on a 1999 roster. I just finished the Browns and Bengals and doing a little testing before I move forward.

I will also be working on a 1986 roster.

We will see if I do anything beyond that.

I really want to work on a classic roster for Madden - I've done a bunch for NBA 2K and have noodled around a bit with the MLB series, too.

But Madden makes it really difficult. You can't edit height, weight, age, or appearance for existing players. But the create-a-player is so limited - very small range of faces, no ability to adjust hair or facial hair, every player starts as a rookie - and managing rosters is so inconvenient (why on earth should you have to go to two different menu areas to release players or to add them?), that I probably won't do it at all. It seems, frankly, like EA is actively trying to discourage the creation of classic rosters.

It's really disappointing.

I'm on PS4 and I'm working on one now. Nothing crazy, just creating the top 5 players All time for each team. Some teams will have more than 5 but I don't want too much talent riding the bench. I will have certain players like Jim Brown and such but most of my guys are from the 80's and up. It will take some time but I'll let u know when it's up on share

Just checking in and to my surprise All Time Team rosters are doing better than I expected....

I think with the proper editing you could put together the best players ever for each franchise without inflating the rosters....

It would be tough because take for example the Cowboys you could argue Aikman, Staubach and Romo are all deserving of 88 or higher rating minimum.

Hey fellow OS friends has anyone figured out if you can take rosters from madden 15 and somehow transfer to madden 16 like we use to do last gen? Cause there is a roster set of seasons on madden 15 years 1990-2004 on madden share all by creator Black Kakari he has done a wonderful job very detailed on these rosters. These with a all time team from karmer or asantead and playmakers classics and capas would make madden 16 very playable for A LONG TIME!

This cannot be done on the PS4.

I created a roster that you guys might be interested in. It’s “CSGNETWORK8090” for PS4, I created 140 classic players from the 80’s and 90’s. And I completely agree that the player creation in Madden is a bit rough, mostly the pre-designed faces. A lot of players I was able to find something close, but for some others not so much. Players’ ratings (including current players) are meant to represent the highest rating they would have deserved at any point in their careers. So you may find the ratings a little high if you’re looking for more is a sim experience, but the ratings are easily edited. I created a walkthrough video for the roster and put it on YouTube, this site won’t let me post links since I just registered, but if you search “CSGNETWORK8090” on YouTube you’ll find it. I have never posted here, but have followed these forums for years. My point is, that I have started doing the 1985 rosters and my issue is that you have to create all players from scratch. When you do that, the game considers all the players as rookies. I have completed 3 teams so far, Browns....Bears and Dolphins. I tested all 3 in play now and have the Bears as a powerhouse just like they were in '85, but their OVR rating is only 28? It has to be because the game sees all players as rookies. There needs to be an option where you can add if they have league experience or not. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for that?

If you are creating all players from scratch you will reach the CAP limit before you finish your league. I think it maxes out at 400 or something. You have to use current players that you edit the best you can as well. It does stink but no other way around it.

I don't believe there is a workaround for league experience either with rookies.
