I think Zouma has potential to be better than him honestly.

But here are some stats about him.

Djilobodji ranked fourth in Ligue 1 for clearances in 2014/15 (8.3 per game) and in the top 10 for interceptions (3.3 per game). Only 16 players won more aerial duels per game than his 3.1 – in contrast, Chelsea's top players in this category last season were Gary Cahill with 3.3, followed by John Terry with 2.6.

The 26-year-old was also the top Nantes player in 2014/15, according to WhoScored.com's statistical rankings, demonstrating his consistency across his 30 starts for the club.
Hes not going to come in and make a massive difference as a starter or anything. But he has potential. And I am excited to see him and Zouma get some playing time. I think they have a chance to be a great pair at center back together. But I doubt we see that happen this year very often, if at all.

I didn't mean he had more potential than Zouma, of course he doesn't. I meant he could play a Zouma type role in midfield. Thanks for the stats, he looks like a solid play to have on the bench and for rotation. Maybe if Cahill gets injured he may play with Zouma if Terry is slowly being fazed out as a 100% starter.

Sounds like Thibaut Courtois hurt his knee. And is going to miss the game on Sat. Lots of rumors flying around currently with different amounts of time for him to be out. Lets hope its not serious and he isn't our for a couple months.

Mourinho said, "quite a long time".

          Sigh.

            Dear Chelsea,

Please do not suck tomorrow morning. Starting your day off pissed off is not fun for anyone.

            Thanks,

Mikel is my least favorite Chelsea player. I hope he doesn't make me sick today, as per usual.

He didn't close down on either Galloways cross or Naismith shot but no one followed Naismith's run.

He's really not bad at all. Limited offensively...yeah but defensively he's very very solid and he always provides an outlet. Plus he's physical and he NEVER ever complains. He could be getting a lot more PT elsewhere but he remains a loyal soldier.

Anyway, to be expected kind of coming off international break. Cesc, Zouma, and Bran need to be dropped asap although Bran was much better today. Zouma's positional sense is lacking. He gets caught too many times in no-mans land.

Also, Diego needs to shoot the damn ball.

I just see Mikel as a guy who stands around alot and never gets in the flow of the game. I'd ALWAYS rather see Ramires on the pitch. Today, I would have rather seen Zouma or RLC next to Matic. That's just me though.

You're right about Costa. It seems the only touches he's getting are in the left corner these days.

I know he's 'not getting the support he needs' but Hazard has been a ghost this season. He certainly hasn't been our worst player or the biggest concern, but it's frustrating to see a player of his caliber not getting touches. When you're the BPL player of the year and have people saying you're a top 5 player in the world that should never happen. I notice players like Sanchez and Aguero always getting opportunities and forcing themselves to make an impact. Hazard needs to assert himself more and dribble at defenders. He can cause so many problems when he's at his best and we really need that Hazard right now.

Like Costa, his touches are not coming in dangerous positions. Disappointing, I agree.

Well, y'all can't defend and yet we can't convert chances. Next week should be fun...

And Cesc has to be hurt or carrying a knock. I have never ever seen him go through this bad of period of play. It just doesn't make any sense to me.
