Game Prep: Are you using it?

Just wondering if anyone else is taking advantage of game prep...
I am having a hard time justifying the time/grind/monotony compared to the rewards and I am not sure if an extra 4k xp a season is worth the trouble. Any opinions?

I delegated this in M15, can't be bothered with it myself (can't find an option to delegate in M16)

it would be nice if you could set a priority with CPU such as rookies first.

The CPU uses Game Prep, so if you don't, you're putting yourself at a slight disadvantage.

I delegate it. Takes enough time controlling 32 teams and I figure the other teams delegate it as well so it's easier to just be using the same method for game prep as they are.

Last year it was tight. This year it's pathetic. You get a max around 300 total xp unless your coach is upgraded or you do in-game drills. Not worth the time. It's a completely useless and and inconsequential feature this year. Why would i spend time getting 300 xp for a player when that isn't even going to increase a single attribute? Even with the coach upgraded your looking at a max somewhere around 650xp and the in-game drills don't give you much more.

I seriously don't see the point when you don't get rewarded at all.

I use it, but I focus in on 3 players the whole season.

Some say the game is won before the players even get on the field. Obviously, that is incorrect, however, the purpose of that statement, is to stress the importance of preparation. I feel like the work I do prior to playing any cfm game should be applied to the advancement of the players' mental aspects of the game. When I look through the opponents depth charts, injury reports, and their stats for the season, I am essentially formulating a game plan. Learning how to approach the team, how to exploit their weaknesses, or how to cover up my own teams weaknesses. Scrolling through all those pages should earn experience points for every player on the team that can be applied to attributes associated with the mental portion of the game, such as play recognition or route running. This would logically tie experience and progression of the players understanding of the game, while also rewarding the person controlling the team for putting some effort into the process. As it stands now, I have to remember to go to the progress player screen at some point each week, and select the seven players that the coaches spoke to that week. Every time I progress players, I feel like I have Chris Farley for a Head Coach. How many players did you coach up this week? 52,53..... Seven, seven players. Did you show the players where they're going to line up in each formation so I can get the match ups I want? No, no, we'll just figure that out when the game starts.
As for the physical progression of players, it should all be based on what is done on the field.

It's under your team's Options>Settings -- the very last item (under CPU Settings): Simulate Game Prep Activities.

So far I've been using it only to build confidence. I tried once to do the drills, and it took too long doing the same drill with 3 DB's for such little payoff. That's why I just use it for confidence on whayever is suggested to me.

Occasionally use it, appreciate that it's there but I'm usually pressed for time and am anxious to just get into the game.

I have not gotten into CFM in Madden 16 yet, in Madden 15 I did this every week and it was something I enjoyed doing building up players and everything. I did think it was a little OP in M15 because it didn't make much to bring a nobody 7th rounder to a stud in just a few season but from what I hear in M16 you get such little XP this year from Game Prep.

So I have a few questions..... Is this a bug that they are planning on fixing or was this on purpose to make it harder to make bad players good? Since they nerfed the XP gains through Game Prep did they lower the individual skill costs?
Do you make up for the lower XP in game prep with the drive goals? I can see them lowering Game Prep a lot if you are going to get more XP in game with drive goals.
