HUT 16: Returning User Bonus?

Assuming it's the same as last year (which we don't know yet), I'm curious about this works. Last year I went from Xbox 360 to PS4 so I didn't get anything, this year I don't mind putting in a few extra HUT games if it means a bigger returning bonus.

From what I understand, 14 to 15 worked like this:

Coins Owned: 1 bonus pack per 20k coins, 10 packs max (200k coins)
Players Owned: 1 bonus pack per 50 players, 10 packs max (500 players)
Games Played: 1 bonus pack per 50 games played, 10 packs max (500 games played)

Does that sound right? If so, there's no way I reach the 30 pack max but I can see myself at least maxing out the player count.

From what I've seen expect 10 packs for most people. Of you don't see them when getting started check for more rewards on the daily bonus screen

Yep got 10 packs as well, had almost 500 games 500+ player items 200k pucks.

Had 13 packs to open total 2 for my weekly deluxe edition and another for my weekly eb games (gamestop) pre-order bonus.

The Returning user bonus cards are untradeable, the ones from the deluxe edition and pre-order bonus are.

Of the 13 packs I opened best card I got is a 85 Alex Galchenyuk, which is fine by me

He's my favorite legend from last year's game. He was super undervalued on the market in NHL 15 because his overall rating was only an 88. But he was super fast, great with the puck on his stick, and a beast defensively on stick checking. I expect that Modano's price will be higher in NHL 16 now that he's a 90 overall. People seem to only base their buying decisions on that overall number, for some dumb reason.

"Check For More Rewards" I do believe.

100k pucks + 500 players + 125 games played = 10 gold bonus packs. I don't think I have a player in my startup team lower than 83... I'm cool with that.

I got modano too. Plays good in this game. Wish i could trade him tho. I want Roy.

I dont know how or why but after opening my starter pack i had 18 packs to open. All i got was the digital version a week after release.

How come you people got so many packs as a returning user when I got only one pack as a returning user? (in addition to the starter pack) I had over 200,000 coins in NHL 15 HUT. I also had almost every single NHL player from every team & I had completed almost every team & of those I had not completed I was only missing one or two players from that particular team.

It was based purely on games played.

I somehow got 10 gold packs for "buying digital version" even though I bought the disc version! 😀

I played 150 HUT games on NHL 16, got 1 gold pack as a returning user reward....
