Re: So WHERE are 'VIDEOS of CLASSIC TEAMS
If you expect the classic players to look like the current ones you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. There's a reason why they don't show it. I'm not optimistic given 2K's track record with classic players in the current gen.Comment

I'm Thinking the same thing. I have known 2k since a long time.
I'm afraid about that.Comment

Am I trolling? Am I serious? Did Dennis Green and the Cardinals really "let them off the hook"? What about the children? Find out next weekComment

Re: So WHERE are 'VIDEOS of CLASSIC TEAMS
lol so you basically want to see every bit and piece of the game before release?
They didn't show us the ending of MyCareer either. Or the championship celebration in MyGM.Comment

Re: So WHERE are 'VIDEOS of CLASSIC TEAMS
I think it's more than fair to desire to see a bit of what the classic teams look like, particularly considering 2K's struggles to emulate the classic players on the current generation consoles.
We've received a lot of information and videos regarding many other aspects (including MyCareer & MyGM). With 12 new classic teams, I can't blame anyone for wanting to at least catch a glimpse of what they look like as well.Comment

Re: So WHERE are 'VIDEOS of CLASSIC TEAMS
I agree that if you expect great looking classic teams you might be a little disappointed, but not because of 2k's track record. Most players look great these days because they are scanned and fine tuned. You can't scan a classic player now. so there is no way you will have that visual fidelity that we do with the new players. the art department can try, but it's just not going to look that good. also any pictures of them before hand will probably translate well. the film we have today picks up lighting better and has a wider dynamic range for lighting. think of 80's bball games how they looked on the tv. kinda washed out with a lot of hues bleeding. not very sharp. older images are all they have to go off of. so if they tune it..great. but I don't expect much better than what we have, and that's not bad..just being realistic. I think they look okay. could be better, but again. it's not like they have time to touch up everyone and find all their old wrinkles and laugh lines now.Comment

Respectfully, while I've heard whispers that correcting art - in terms of facial likeness and whatnot - can be quite time consuming, I do believe 2K can provide more accuracy in that regard if they can commit available time. I believe most people aren't looking for face-scan levels of accuracy, but at least something closer to what we saw in NBA 2K11.I agree that if you expect great looking classic teams you might be a little disappointed, but not because of 2k's track record. Re: So WHERE are 'VIDEOS of CLASSIC TEAMS
oh, I agree. it could look better. especially if they had more time. like you said it probably very time consuming to do though. With their schedule and everything they threw in though, they just might not have that amount of time. I am sure they art department had a lot on their plate as well with the socks, shoes, headbands, tweaking the face scans, all that stuff. I agree with you, I do. maybe they just didn't have the time and decided to use those resources for more current things. at least they should play better :-)Respectfully, while I've heard whispers that correcting art - in terms of facial likeness and whatnot - can be quite time consuming, I do believe 2K can provide more accuracy in that regard if they can commit available time.
