I just went back and watched a couple. Him bashing the nWo and bashing the WWE for being "sports entertainment". I met him at a RoH show briefly. He seemed pretty cool.

Cornette will never admit it, but I'm pretty sure Russo's effect on the company at that time is the only reason he was allowed to do those awesome promos. Talk about opening things up, lol.

Cornette was and is one of the most brutally honest guys about the business when he's given the avenue to be unfiltered.

Speaking of great manager/mouthpieces. I don't know if anyone saw/heard about this over the summer but OMG....My heart aches for Bobby Heenan

I'm going to post a recent picture of him but it's so disturbing that i'll have to spoiler tag it. Has WWE done ANYTHING to help him out recently? Seems a bit of a shame that they'll help anyone so long as they're somewhat photogenic but an old guy like Heenan who's admittedly lived a full life can't get much play. I mean they could show just how terrible cancer is and illustrate it in a way that would make fans see the true face of such a horrible disease.

From what I've read, Heenan is still a hilarious guy to this day. It is sad to see him like that, but the guy is a fighter.

Are you going to, without any proof, insinuate that they are basing their help, or non-help to former employees based on looks?

Damn dude...that's a pretty bold assertion.

No, I'm saying they're probably not raising awareness about his condition because of his looks at this time. It's not a matter of them not caring about Heenan but rather the nature of showing what's going on and disturbing the heck out of their fanbase.

Let me post the (long) excerpt from an internet radio show that i heard this on. I believe there's some NSFW language (can't remember offhand)

Don't know, but apparently he still goes on the convention circuit.

Like StevenSD said though, from all accounts Heenan is still going out and is cracking jokes at wrestling conventions so it seems like he's in good spirits, all things considered.

It came out wrong what I mean is help someone in terms of really getting the information out there and fundraising.

Ah well it's a moot point anyways as Heenan is in good spirits and such. It just pains me to see him this way

Saw a couple of vids on Bobby The Brain a couple months ago, meant to post about how he is now and forgot. It's crazy how he looks now, messed up cause it's taking so much of him but good cause he seems to be in good spirits for the most part and he is fighting like hell.

Couldn't imagine having to go through what he is, have always liked him..one of the best managers and Heel commentators there ever was.

Cool shirt WWE released for Kevin Owens when WWE is in Montreal. For those who don't get it, that's the "Bleu Blanc & Rouge" for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team.

The day Sami Zayn returns, WWE presence in Canada will be getting a huge boost again I hope. Things haven't been same with WWE in Canada for awhile. 90s was about the Harts,00s was with people like Jericho,Edge,Christan,Trish, that other guy. But since that, hasn't really been many from Canada. As much as WWE tries getting hispanic superstars to boost their Mexican audience, they need to be focusing on Canadian one too.

The reaction Sami Zayn got in Montreal shows how loud things will get for these guys. Zayn and/or Owens in Montreal for Raw or a PPV might be next closest thing that could rival CM Punk in Chicago.
