Andre Iguodala is a 77 Overall

So in the screen shot that shows us Kareem. You can also see Iguodala and he has a 77 overall.

When was the last time a Finals MVP was a 77 overall?

I honestly thought he would have been AT WORST about 82.

I understand there's a new rating system but this seems awfully low considering a guy like Aaron Brooks is a 75. And a guy who has had multiple severe injuries, has barely played in the last couple years and is a shadow of his former self is getting an 85, pretty much a legacy bump.

Box score stats? Really? Get with the times man. His on/off numbers have been historically good. And let's face it. The only other defender in the league that has ever shut LeBron down is Kawhi Leonard.

Anyone who watches him play knows how good he is. I mean he didn't get the Finals MVP for nothing. Come on now. Don't be silly.

Well luckily it isn't 1998 and 2k can push higher ratings to him if he plays well enough to deserve it

I wouldn't really pay much attention to any ratings out of the box

Stop with that overall crap. Let's see his individual ratings first.

            Here's a stat for you.

Kobe has played 41 games. Out of the last 164. He's missed 75% of the last two seasons.

            85 overall.

Aaron Brooks is a 75 overall. Is he the next finals mvp?

No need to bring out the spikes & claws dude I'm just going by the numbers. I don't name call people I don't know.

But back to the topic, I'll take your word on numbers. So let's day all of sudden, numbers lie. Giving you the benefit of the doubt though (to help form a conclusion), we may wait on how the others stack among the overall numbers. Kawhi can score btw

2K might need to add a "team value" type rating in the near future.. He means a lot to the team but in terms of skillset, 77 isn't bad at all for Iggy (he's one of my favorite players).

This exactly. All that matters is if he plays like his real life counterpart. I really don't understand when people say "this player is more of an 85 instead of 81" what in the world does that really mean.

They're pro ball players. They can all score.

Iguodala game 6 of the finals.

25pts on 45% from the field.

He can score when they need him to. They just don't look for him to do it often.

Offensively I can see how he would be rated as a 77. He's a great ball handler and good passer for his position but he's not an aggressive scorer and his shot is suspect.

                    Defensively? He's at least a 90 overall.

It should a balance out. I feel the ratings are skewed in favour of offense.

And I didn't call you any names :/ I'm just saying box score numbers aren't usually the stats people look to. It's normally advanced metrics and on/off stuff plus an old fashioned eye test haha.

So if Michael Jordan was a 56 but he "played like Jordan" you're cool with that yeah?

Don't act like ratings mean nothing smh. They wouldn't exist if they didn't mean anything.

It would be like arguing that Iguadala deserves a higher rating than Curry because he was the finals MVP over him.

I'am sure Iggy will play close to his real life counter part. No need to bring Kobe into the argument because it's pretty clear he was overrated by 2K. It would be stupid to scale every players to his rating.

I remember Ryan Anderson having a rating of 66 in 2k13. I still dropped 27 a game when I'd draft him in leagues. After his attributes were boosted to what he is now, I stopped because it wasn't as fun.

Low overall players who can ball are identified by the devs. I don't think they let anything through the cracks. it actually sets up those knowledgeable about the game as opposed to the cheesers who love boosters, and stuff.

What an odd example. But ultimately I wouldn't care if Jordan was hitting fade aways and dunking on fools. I guess it would leave the door open for every time he missed a shot to blame it on ratings.

But your example is an extreme because Jordan is goat. And if he was the lowest rated player than of course the system is broken. However to say Andre Igoudala is more of an 82 than a 77 without playing the game at all is pretty silly imo.
