What the hell is wrong with the goalkeepers in PES 2016?!

I've played a lot of PES 1-6 and then after PES 2008 and 2009 I switched over to FIFA because of the obvious lacks in gameplay and especially because the goalkeepers were a joke.

Now I played my first 4-5 matches of PES 2016 (PC) and I'm satisfied with the gameplay so far but what is wrong with the goalies?!?! Out of the first 10 goals I've seen 7-8 were shots/headers in the middle of the goal and should've been saved 100% but somehow the keepers just stand there and watch or they react when the ball has already passed them.

Is it because I'm playing on Professional and have to increase difficulty or are is this a general problem of PES?

I thought they've had cleared this issue over the past 4-5 years...

These are just the first two games I played. It didnt get any better after playing 20 matches...

Yeah, it's probably mostly the difficulty level. Keepers below Top Player difficulty are pretty bad. But I've seen some horrid goalkeeping even on that difficulty, so it's something that may need to be sorta out via a patch.

I've noticed the same thing. The most glaring problem I've encountered is the keepers will pull off diving world class saves when they shouldn't and miss saves which literally require them to stick their hand out. The response time seems reversed.

Tried a few matches on the 2nd highest difficulty and it's still a huge problem.

I cant believe they didnt sort out this problem over the last few years, it really kills all the fun in scoring goals if keepers are that bad.

Going to upload a video on YT later but I'm pretty sure it won't change anything....

Maybe it's because I'm playing the PC Version? But if I'm remember correctly it should be the same gameplay-wise as the PS4/Xbox1 Version...

Nope, it's not a pc problem. Goalkeepers are inconsistent to put it politely. Months before the release I posted about this (and other members too). There's a major issue with goalkeepers especially inside the box. Needless to say that almost 90% of shots inside the box are goals. This is beyond ridiculous.

Yeah, I have been playing around on Top Player and once you get inside the box I'd say that you have a 95% chance of scoring. (The other 5% simply being a bad first touch and the goalie diving on it before you can get it.)

These were the first 2 games I played and after playing 15-20 matches I must say goals like this are definitely not an exception.

There aren't any sliders that we can adjust correct? Otherwise I suppose a simple tuning update could address goalie reflexes?

Nope there are no sliders.

Played another 3 games and I'm done with PES for now. It's just such a joke. 90% of the shots in the box are in, doesnt matter how hard or accurate. Completely destroys the game for me.

Really wondering if it's really just a PC Problem because I'm not making it up and really like the gameplay but the problem with no fouls against AI and the goalies are just too much...

GKs were an issue in last year's game as well. Is it worse in 16, or just the same as before?

It's weird I haven't noticed this same issue -- at least not to this extent -- on console.

I've played the PS4 version yesterday and it has the same issues. It all depends how you play the game. I always push sports videogames to the limits to find exploits and flaws because sooner or later my tactics ingame will uncover all these issues.
I even edited all GK abilites and set them to 99. Guess what. Nothing happened.

Is it finesse shots doing this or any shots?

And again, not trying to dispute your points or those by the OP because there is visuals showing some soft goals, but just wanting to say I haven't noticed it as much.

So you are playing to look for exploits? That is all I needed to hear, got it.
