The demo seemed ok. I like the presentation and the UI. The controls seem floaty. Sliding all over the place. There seems to be some lag even in offline games. It doesn't seem to be smooth. Pro am seemed pretty cool. People just don't play team ball. Live 2016 seems to be a game to play when you are just sitting around doing nothing. You can pop it in and have senseless fun.

I think some ppl have animations and graphics mixed up with each other or they just have a crappy tiny TV and can't see much because of how much Lives camera is zoomed out. Most ppl are use to 2K ultra zoomed in over sized players that are to big for the court. The The courts, shoes, and jerseys are photo realistic in live and don't have a painted on look. The clothes also have a lot of movement. A lot of the players look straight up like themselves too. The skin texture is on point and don't have a cartoonish purple look to them like 2K.
the other game just has this beat in features and gameplay. Not saying Live is bad but man where the hell is the contact inside the paint when facing the CPU? I'm so use to 2K that i'm missing these features; protecting the ball, a lot of post moves, calling for a screen and picking who I want to do it, clear out button, ect. Also how do I call time out without going to the pause menu? so many things are not in the tutorial...especially things that involve the D-pad. I thought the D-pad didn't do much but I see things happening on screen with I hold it or tap it.Comment

I know 16 plays different, i was referring to the post being the same. Im not one of the cheddar heads that just come down and just shot threes all game, i like to take advantage of what the defense give me, and for live i can do what i want when i want too so with that being said, the post game for me it just to easy no up and under moves, no shimmy shake, bad animation on the fade away, no fighting for position.. i been playing live since lakers vs celtics on sega and 2k since the dreamcast so believe me im not knock live at all, as a big man and playing ball at the collegiate level its something i expect on a next gen console.Comment

Live is years behind. Modes, gameplay, animations, movement, presentation, ect.
Gameplay is similar to this...
Only difference is Live 16 has ESPN, some more sig jumpers, better footplanting, and better graphics. But a lot of the mediocre animations are still the same, especially around the basket. Passing is still has some elements of Live on PS2.
I'll get the play the demo more over the weekend. I still have to finish the rest of the tutorial to get the controls down better. I just think NBA Live isn't a game that is taken very seriously and IMO is just past off as fun for a lot of people. Not much is expected compared to it's competitor and that's just a fact. I don't know how many years I've heard "Live has a good foundation".
Bottomline is they are so far behind. A console generation last about 6-8 years. We are already in year 2 of this generation, yet their game animates and the movements are like their PS3 game from 8 years ago. It is what it is.Comment
