Re: NBA 2K16 Player Ratings - Top Rated Small Forwards (UPDATED)

only players I feel should have been lowered because of injury is rose and kobe honestly. Both came back and played far worse than prior. KD and melo on the other hand, while one payed 27 and the other 40, were still pretty darn good. KD was at about 25 7 and 4 on 51 percent and 40 on 3s. We dont know how he will recover but i would bet my bottom dollar he will be back to form quickly. Melo hurt his knee the second game of the year and still played 40 games. he averaged 24 7 and 3(his career numbers are 25, 7 and 3) on 44 and 35 percent. Expecting him to be worse when healthy doesn't make much sense to me. In the end, All of them have a chance to build their rating back up since 2k gave rose and kobe a chance the first half of the season last year.

Yet, the injury hit only applies to him and not Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose or Tony Parker. Durant still put up impressive numbers even in his limited time last season. No reason why anything should come down but his durability and maybe his athletic attributes (speed, quickness & vertical).

I think 91 is fair assesment for KD even when healthy. Not that great defender, ball handler nor playmaker to warrant 94.

Or maybe he's rated 91.. because the entire rating system has been remade.

Please, show me the 6'11" player with Durant's handles, passing ability, scoring ability and defensive aptitude at SF? He is easily the second best player in the NBA and that should be reflected in the game. Yes, he missed a ton of time and his injury is very serious, but they have the tools to show that without artificially decreasing his overall rating.

Any rating system that rates Harden above KD is broken.

85 with that performance is not a hit.

With the new scale adjustment staying at 85 is actually a stealth bump.

Also KD's injury has a possible prognosis of healing completely. Melo's injury is likely related to age, use, and overall decline.

Do his handles, defense and playmaking warrant mid-high 80s in terms of HOF scale? I don't think so. That's why he's 91. His height has nothing to do with it.

No its not. If KD plays better than Harden in the game it means the rating system is working

Just like How Dirk was rated 85 a couple years ago and couldnt miss.

                      Matthews is 81? I thought he was a 78-79.
In the leaked stream he is 78. But it was confirmed that those ratings are not final and the recently released ones by Beds are the accurate ones. He is 81 according to the recent SG ratings...head scratcher to me.

This would be true if not for the fact that nearly every other player has essentially the same rating as they had in the last 2K15 roster update.

Second reason this is not true is that the guys at 2K said themselves that KD has a 91 rating due to the fact he's coming off injury.

I don't belong in the "OVR doesn't matter" camp, and I've explained why in the other thread. It only doesn't matter if you only play online quick games with all manual substitutions.

And if even if OVR is just cosmetic, it's better that they get it right than not. There's no reason not to address discrepancies where it can be fixed. Michael Jordan being rated 80 who played the same would still be problematic.

How the **** do you rate his dribbling ability through any scale at all? It is a completely subjective matter. He is a quality playmaker and is a solid defensive player do to his length/height (which you say doesn't matter).

The guy has very few weaknesses on a basketball court other than his durability coming into question.

Like I said, I see very, very few NBA players of his stature that can play on the perimeter and score in the variety of ways that he does. And he's insanely efficient in doing so (even last year).

Hmm. To be honest he should be an 83-85 when healthy though, especially as a scorer that can also defend.
