There will be lots of improvements to ACE and CPU AI rolling in updates AFTER launch.

Good question. I would hope the updates are already ready and that those who preordered (read: just about everyone at this point) will have access to the updates upon installation and boot up of the game.

If they wait till the 29th to roll it out, I'll be mildly disappointed; fact is, I don't plan on starting a long term MyLeague until I run a few tests with it to determine what the AI logic/sim injury rate/progression rate is like on various different settings. But I'd hope they don't make us wait for updates until the 29th if we preordered ... otherwise the early release doesn't really matter, right?

I remeber having to start a new career after they finally fixed the regression issue. So im doubting the updates will roll over to files made before.

I'm not sure but I know some things that they'll update come with the new roster updates and the only way to get them is to start a new MyGM/MyLeague with the new roster.

In the past, if updates rolled out, they would affect the main game, top to bottom -- this would be true for rosters/slider adjustments, ect -- BUT they would not affect files like MyLeague/MyGM/MyCareer ect, because those modes were started with the previous version of the game (the one before the update).

Thusly, if you start a MyLeague/MyGM ect, you take whatever the base version of the game is and carry it forward in that new mode you just started; it's the foundation, unalterable by any update that will come out later on.

I imagine it's the same way now, so if one does start a MyLeague/MyGM, ect on the 25th and they roll out updates (meant to fix issues they know about) on the 29th, those updates won't affect the modes you've already started. They will affect all future modes you start, but not the previous ones.

All that said, I skipped 2k15 last year (I was rightly betting that they'd go bigger and better this year), so I don't know if that still holds true ... but that's the way it's always been, at least as far as I can remember.

last year weren't things done through download patches though? I know they talked about this year being able to update things without download patches..but you could be right. Im just hoping

I will hope with you. It's been a limitation in gaming for so many years now, I'd like to see it done away with.
