We know for sure about bug fixes, facescans, and WTF said late game AI was better when he played it a month or so ago. Other than that, we have to wait and see.

I think 12-13 teams were done while there, and things were feeling really good. I'm assuming that all 30 teams will be complete to some degree for the release, but again, I can't speak with certainty.

All I know for sure is that they will be updated through the year, beyond that, I can't say.

I know that they met with several coaches during the year and offseason, the pictures were on twitter. But again, I don't know the extent of anything.
      Good to hear.

But what about game difficulty? Will that be addressed or are they content with the way it is? Stronger interior defense and more physicality should help up the difficulty. But as it stands, Superstar difficulty unfortunately feels very much like a default medium difficulty level.

And I normally stick with default medium difficulty for most games because it presents a good challenge, but with live16's demo, I finally had to up it to the most difficult level.

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

I can't say for sure on the difficulty thing either. It depends on what all makes it into the day 1 patch. Things could change drastically from 2-3 weeks ago.

I had 2 phenomenal games while down, one triple overtime game that had me on the edge of my seat. I got distracted talking to a dev in the 3rd OT, and they pulled away from me pretty handily. I felt like I needed to be focused and engaged to what they were doing.

I also got a mudhole stomped in me in a few other games. Those were the games where I felt I could do nothing right. I don't want to say yes, I don't want to say no. I believe the demo will receive the day 1 patch, so hopefully everyone can download and see what you all see.

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

I have had no issues with game difficulty some mentioned, as I've been playing with the sliders (thanks devs) heavily in the CPU's favor when needed for balance. I think the missing midrange "issue" could be a more player specific thing, as more than a few demo players seem really consistent (Durant, LeBron, Curry, Clay, J. Butler, Westbrook, Paul) against me from mid range and while others are not, and maintaining that overall success when I used them in the same manner. As usual though everyone's experience will differ for various reasons.

I do think its worth a day one purchase though for Live fans and supporters, because of the progress made, the overall improvement of the series, and because its just fun in any way you'd like to play, sim or arcade. It is far more deserving than the years past of a purchase. I preordered both NBA games. I know LIVE 16 will have its issues, but the only way they get fixed faster, is with our continued community support and feedback.

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

I'm actually getting both games this year. I've liked enough of the Live demo to warrant my first Live purchase in over (at least) 10 years. Each game has things that I like about it, and they are IMO two different styles of games.

I'll no doubt look for the best deal on both (likely GCU), but I'll probably have both on their release date. I can't remember the last time that's happened (if ever). I know I've bought 2K every year since 2007... I think this is the best time, in a long time, to be a hoops gaming fan.

Bro, my GameFly membership has been golden to me and has saved me time and money. They've shipped out every new release that I've had in my queue the day before it was released. I get it only the day after its released. So don't hate the player, hate the game "dude"!

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

No buy. Just too many consistent legacy issues, little differentiation between team play, no depth, and just not worth the price. I only buy 1 NBA game, and the comp offers a better overall package that ill have multiple copies of that game for the 4/360/1 in my home.
Its just a shame, that they hired more staff for this game and still neglected modes that needed to be worked on for years and did absolutely nothing with them. This game is just a disjointed looking, moving, 2nd rate of a game. While the Pro-Am can be fun, and the courts, accessories looks nice etc., that's not enough for me. Full customization will allow people to make these courts in the other game with ease, so that's a wash there outside of the "exteriors" of the courts themselves.
Decent demo. If I get the yearning to play Live, I can jump into that.
NBA Live is the epitome of Cancel Culture..

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

I have already pre-ordered both and am excited about Live 16 this year moreso than any recent time, especially after slider tweaks and the impending release of the retail version with Day 1 patch. I don't expect perfection by any means, however there's something different this year. I see that EA is fully behind their product this year (Imperative) and the sustained efforts by community members like Mrprice33 and WTF to construct threads in order to gather very relevant issues from everyone for the devs to address. We have to see what the Devs are able to accomplish but I believe we're defiantly on the right path!

Re: Who has made their mind up re purchasing this game?

I don't feel like repeating myself again here. But, I bought Live 15 just to support their movement because I liked the games overall vibe and atmosphere WAY more than the other. Unfortunately, the 16 demo was much improved but not polished enough for me to buy. Specifically the animations/scoring are not acceptable and clunky still dribbling around. So I don't feel like dropping $60 again in hope it supports Live 17. Out of patience now..not that 16 is bad but it's not clean at all, so in a way it's still pretty broken.

                          MAJOR APPLAUD FOR:
-Courts (wow shoe marks even throughout game? Awesome touch. Blown away).
-Presentation/atmosphere (in the game earns it's saying here!)
                          -Accessories
                          -Graphics (good enough forsure)
-Playcalling/play wheel (LOVE the play wheel
                          -Response time/servers
                          -ProAm mode (actual proam too)
                          -1 man animations

Majority of those are actually better than the competition so if they keep moving forward/building off of with this level of detail on their GAMEPLAY/MOVEMENTS/ANIMATIONS/REALISM this game will win everybody over.

The thing is those cons are big cons. Just can't have much replay value when you are cringing at 30 ft hook shots swishing in every game. It literally is a mix of that and 'stuck' dribble move transitions..corny dunking/scoring that is enough to ruin it.

Looks like I just repeated myself.

Oh well, rooting for Live I want it to be the best game on the market but NO BUY for me this round, unless the patch performs some miracles on the gameplay.

Grew up playing Live wanted this to make a comeback but just being honest here I'm not seeing much potential here. The Pro-am is somewhat FUN (even though most friends think this game is really bad) thats about as far as it gets for me I dont see that mode being competitive. playing to 21, no fouls, the animations the honestly just flat out suspect. every time someone does a eurostep/hopstep its an auto bucket. Apparently its really hard to block shots, has anyone done a chase down block in pro-am yet? I havent but anyways this game is a no go for me I would probably spend 10 bucks on this if I was bored.

I'm going to let you excited guys try and convince me later on, ill look out for some threads and youtube vids to see if the game gets significantly better. Right now i don't need it, its not deep enough, and i had way more of negative experience then positive with NBA side of the game.

Pro-Am was fun but i can see how by Jan it can become stale. However, If they take the mode and make a tournament out of it with user teams, added fouls and 5min quarters that would tempt me. I know 2k's pro-am might be just like i described so we will see, but the live courts, having bragging rights at Rucker Park or in Terminal 23 feels right.

Reason = too many bugs / late game AI issues remain / no mid range game / no real team styles.

Could I change my mind later? Yes...but will need EXTENSIVE patches / patch notes clearly explaining how things have been addressed.

Most critical aspect in possibly buying it later = I need to see team styles / mid range game.

What is everyone else's purchase / not purchasing status?
I'm definitely going to buy Live 16. It's not perfect (what game is?) but I like the approach EA is taking. Live Pro-Am is fun and the level system is impressive. Once you get used to the system, it's fun and challenging in all the right ways. Shot % are for more accurate than 2K15 was but we'll see if 2K turns that around.

The basketball game market NEEDS competition to keep each brand on the road to make their product better each year. Live doesn't have to be better than 2K, just like Battlefield doesn't have to be better than Destiny or COD. There's room for more titles.
