First off; It's my first post on OS. Been reading for ages but only decided to start posting. Really like the constructive commenting on this forum

As for the question, I really do like a lot of things that happened in Live 16. I'm not purchasing either game until I see patches and youtube videos, otherwise, if you have a group of people who are taking smart shots then it's awesome!

In regards to the last few comments bringing up the other game, I think it's impossible not to think about purchasing this game without looking at the overwhelming competition. NBA Live left the gaming industry for a number of years and 2K had free reign. Now people have a fixed way on playing and experiencing the game of basketball

When it comes to spending money a comparison always happens. Let people speak their minds as long as they aren't violating the TOS. Like many I will be purchasing the game once it drops in price around Black Friday. As of right now the game requires too many fixes via patch it's also a very basic pick up and play game which is not very appealing to me. I will give it a chance because EA needs the support but like any smart consumer it's easy to see that there is one leader in NBA simulation basketball games. I suspect they will make big changes to the animation system for a live 17 and finally give us a new control scheme to allow for deeper Player control because currently everything seems automated

Bro, my GameFly membership has been golden to me and has saved me time and money. They've shipped out every new release that I've had in my queue the day before it was released. I get it only the day after its released. So don't hate the player, hate the game "dude"!

There is no natural comparison. Its just people here are hell bent on it even if the rules of the site are against it.

What more needs to be said to make simple sense of it.

Most of us will be spending $60 on NBA gaming, not $120. So we compare to make the right purchase if we are only buying one.

I see both games for what they are. If one game points out another's flaws, more the better because that is what competition can do, make them fix their flaws for a altogether better game.

Seriously who cares, you can't avoid comparing the two for obvious reasons it's not a crutch for anyone who's spending their own money and opinions.

Plus why should anyone take it 'easy' on any company when each is selling for the same price.

You can avoid comparing..this didnt ask ask if you were spending a 120 dollars for two games.. it didnt ask which did you prefer...it asked STRICTLY about live and live alone....it didnt ask if anyone was buying 2 games . If you are going to buy it just say yes...if you plan on getting it later when the price drops...just say i'll get it when the price drops...if no all you have to say is No...The other game doesnt have to be included at all in these answers the Op is strictly about live ...so yes I say again 2k crutch

Plus I'm a Live supporter all the way don't get so worked up over the inevitable comparison dilemma. It should be expected on gaming forums..the place people go to discuss these things..

Mentioning "the other game", as these forums have been trained to call it, isn't offending anyone. I've yet to read anything in this thread that came across as Live or 2K 'fanboyish' or inciteful of arguments. Furthermore the mods have not said anyone was off topic. Again with the hypersensitivity in comparing 2 games of the same genre. Just let the mods do their job, we don't always have to chime in to do it for them.

Same here bro, I wanted to see Live16 win more than anything. But I can't deny "the other game's" greatness, and wealth of features/options.
