I've never understood that. Shouldn't you want to peak at playoff time?
2011 Packers started out fast. Then they ran out of gas.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

I'd say they want to take care of business in the beginning, middle and the end of the season. I don't think the starting out 1-2 business has worked for them lately.
They want the playoffs to come through Lambeau.Comment

I disagree that this is a Superbowl preview, but Packers win 31 - 17I love John Fox press conferences.Comment

Chiefs have always had a shot in this game. The line earlier in the week was Packers by 7, that's not a gimme in this league.
The Chiefs front 7 are outstanding.
If the Packers have a chance at winning, it will be Rodgers vs the Chiefs secondary. The Packers front 7 will be challenged by Charles and the running game, but it's the same defense that held beast mode to 41yds at home, so, we'll see. Plus, it appears Charles fumbles the ball on occasion.Comment

Morgan Burnett out tonight after reaggravating a calf injury.
I expect Charles to go for at least 130 on the ground tonight.#RespectTheCultureComment

Yeah, PPM, that will hurt the run game big time.
All the writers in the Journal predict a close outcome just barely favoring the home town team.
McGinn feels it may become who wins the battle of Barclay vs Houston and backup CB Jamel Fleming vs Jones and the WR's/Rodgers.Comment

Houston scares me the most of anyone on that team. Bakhtiari struggles against power rushers and Bulaga is out. I honestly don't see Charles going off. We tend to do well against speed backs, its the power backs we struggle against.

To be fair, the writers are just as pessimistic as the fan base.
Here's what I want. Come out swinging. Throw the ball, take some shots and get an early lead. Don't let the Chiefs sit on the ball and keep us off the field.
Charles is too good to not get his yards on us. Make them play from a hole.badComment
