Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Having stutters / fps drop down to 45 here on Windows 10 build 10547.
Game also randomly goes in windowed mode and doesn't seem to like alt-tabbing. I have to restart the game or change my resolution, otherwise my game will have a black bar at the bottom and will eventually crash.
It could just be that 2K16 doesn't like my build of Windows 10. I'm having really bad first impressions of this game...This is why 2K needs a demo or a beta...Attached FilesLast edited by dregos; 09-25-2015, 06:52 PM. -
Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Thanks for doing this.
Stuck at around 30 fps myself, after ensuring my Nvidia graphics (k2100m) are turned on, lowering antialias/supersample, trying different texture/player/reflection details, etc.Attached FilesComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
This is my first post here on OperationSports, I am usually a forum reader instead of a forum poster, but I would like to contribute to help find a solution. I can't however find how to upload my zip file to the forum. Could somebody point me in the right direction?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
I'll provide the info when I get home, but I'm just glad I'm not the only one! I ran 2k15 fine and I was scared that I needed to do some big upgrades. Thanks leftos for checking up immediatelyComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
I was able to really help my stuttering and performance issues by changing it to Fullscreen Windowed and turning off all vsync options. I use Rivatuner and nVidia inspector to lock it at 60.
But you can see that the game performance is all over the place. I monitor my GPU usage with rivatuner and it fluctuates a lot from 110% to 70%, even with a steady amount of action happening. More optimization needs to be done.Last edited by mrprice33; 09-25-2015, 09:34 PM.Comment

Just confirming some things posted
Changing to full screen windowed helped a lot. Turning the crowd off then made it flawless. Those two seem to be the big onesComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Haven't made any changes to my settings yet as I'm not a tech-ie, but not happy that I'm getting major stuttering when 2K15 played perfectly. Either a patch (ASAP) or will want a method for refunding , my purchase.PSN: KarlMarx24Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Same here.
I have to turn nearly everything off to play 2k16 without stuttering.
Startet 2k15 yesterday to compare the settings. Nearly everything on medium/high and runs flawless.
Looks like NBA 2k99 in direct comparison.
But I remember the same discussion one year ago when 2k15 was stuttering as hell with no details onComment

Re: NBA 2K16 PC Stuttering Collection Thread
Some observations that might help Leftos:
- Ingame vsync is broken as I suspected from the beginning. Must be off.
- Full Screen setting is broken.
- All the effects except Color Correction are badly utilized/optimized.
- Enviromental Map setting is broken.
That said, for those that have stuttering and the fps are all over the place (I even had the game sped up at 100fps yesterday) the only way to make the game playable is the following:
1) Full Screen Window.
2) Vsync Off.
3) Special effects off except Color Correction.
4) Enviroment Map off.
5) Use a 3rd party software like D3DOverrider, Radeon Pro etc to force Vsync Always On for the application.
It's really bizarre that there's not QA for the pc version. Come on 2k, it would take just 2 weeks to QA the port with 5-6 testers.Comment
