How does Kristaps Porzingis look in the game? Also curious to how he feels to play with. Thanks

Re: Knicks Fans
I started a MyGM with the Knicks and from the 1 or 2 games that Ive played he has been great. He is my leading rebounder (around 10RPG) and my leading shot blocker (around 4BPG). His shooting feels solid and from what Ive heard he'll progress to be a top 10 scorer if you simulate a few seasons ahead.
So he gets an A rating from me -

Porzingis is street certified now. He tweaked his back in the 1st quarter, but played out the game because he knew we needed him out there.Comment

Re: Knicks Fans
I'm very keen to start a MyGM or my league with the Knicks. This offseason has been great and the team looks like it will have passion and heart.
Now on the topic of rookies, and especially Porzingis. Many talked about him as being raw, but having possibly the greatest upside of any prospect in the draft. So naturally I looked at his default potential and it sits at 82. For comparison, towns is 89, Russell and okafor 88, Mudiay is 86, Stanley Johnson is 84. I stopped looking after that due to anger.
Seriously, this annoyed me. First order of business for any Knicks fan is to amend those rosters. I have no idea what it should be, but I'm thinking Porzingis should be around 86-87 potential, with okafor down to around 84. Towns can drop to 88, Russell either 87-88. Mudiay down to 83 and Johnson down to 82. Thoughts?
I just went back to look at justice Winslow, and suffice to say the heat love is still alive and well. Winslow is overall 74 with potential at 84. So essentially better than kristaps. Pffft. And don't get me started on white side, who is a top 10 center rated 81, for a 25 year old who was basically out of the league, played half a season (48 games) last year and put up a 12-10 and now he's borderline elite??? Whilst Lopez, who also at 25 (2013-14 season) put up 11-9 over the whole 82 games and he's down at a middling 75 and considered a borderline average starting center. What a joke.Last edited by tarek; 10-01-2015, 03:27 AM.Comment

One thing though is that this is the first year that I can remember where players wont necessarily reach their potential. In previous 2k iterations, players would eventually always reach it whereas this year that's not the case and there's more variance which I actually like since that's how it is in real life, players dont always reach their potential. But in terms of CEILINGS and knowing that its probably/possible they wont reach it, I think ones I mentioned would be solid. Think one guy even simulated and said that a rookie he drafted had like 87 potential but the rookie had a season ending injury and the game actually dropped his potential to like 79 which is pretty cool. 79 is probably too drastic but still good to know there's variance this yearLast edited by cbpo; 10-01-2015, 03:42 AM.Comment

Re: Knicks Fans
I simmed Year 1 in my test franchise, played the season opener in Year 2 and he had 25, 8 and 4 blocks. Shot 2-7 from deep.
He feels much better than I expected TBH, he's more mobile than I expected 2K to make him. I can take slow big men off the dribble with him pretty easily. 2K refined the pick-and-pop game this year and I'm able to get a lot of open jumpers for him.
I'm anxious to see how he develops a few years in to franchise mode, he's probably going to be a monster."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
