Re: Hey Leftos. Cheat Engine is back!
Its the problem since the beginning of nba 2k15 and they didn't even do anything to prevent from this to happen in 2k16 that the exact same change of some values in exe file works to boost your myplayer. Pretty sure they all know this is happening for a while.
Its really weird nothing been done about this issue, its not just annoying for the legit players. Also there is no point for anybody on pc version to buy VC since you are able to unlock everything+ more than available for free with few clicks.Comment

The stats of players should be saved on their servers, so people can't cheat that easily.Comment

Re: Hey Leftos. Cheat Engine is back!
They would be, most likely. The problem is figuring out what data coming back is legit or not. These hacks are performed on local memory, before the data is sent back to 2K.
It's probably not okay for the game to detect when CE is being run at the same time, as that goes beyond the scope of its own process (which may very well be disabled in modern Windows, without a UAC or similar prompt). So what you're left with is writing rules that detect when something is wrong with the data, which runs the risk of hitting on false positives and negatively affecting the experience for legitimate users. Perhaps 2K should have attempted some level of this to prevent the really obvious cheats, but it is a hard problem to solve beyond the very low hanging fruit.Comment
