My League vs. My GM
So, I saw someone posted the differences, and maybe I'm not looking at this correctly, but after being a strictly MY GM player I'm wondering what the reasoning someone would have to do a MY GM over My League. Seems like they're the same, My League just has more features. Can someone help me out on why someone who pick My GM over My League? Thanks!Tags: None -

Curious about that too. -
Re: My League vs. My GM
Unless it's changed radically, MyGM puts you in position of GM. You're not just in control of rosters and players (like MyLeague) you're looking after staff/finances etc. You use VC to unlock skills and bonuses. It's got some light RPG elements. Also, it's more interactive. As GM you are in constant dialogue with players, staff and other GMs.Comment

MyLeague imo is a much better mode just due to the fact you can negate a lot of the terrible decisions that the A.I does indeed make which to me kind of bring down MyGMComment

No watching your team play in My GM which was a turn off for me. I don't have 2 controllers so I can't do that trick!Comment

Re: My League vs. My GM
In MyLeague if you play 5 minute quarters you can set it up to optimizer the stats as if you're playing 12 min quarters. Therefore making stats and game scores similar to simmed games by cpu teams and more realistic overall.
This cannot be done in MyGM.
For the OP. The biggest difference is the little cut scenes. Sitting down with a player and actually seeing the conversations unfold instead of just generic pop up messages, the interaction with the owner and the other GMs. Doing press conferences and being set goals to achieve for the season.
That's just my opinion though.
I enjoy both.Comment

Re: My League vs. My GM
My League is the closest thing to Online Association so I'd go with that. My GM is pretty good, it's nice and relaxing to catch up on some reading. That's about it. Unless you really want to work on your decision making skills ^_^

Re: My League vs. My GM
I've seen this referenced elsewhere as well - what do you mean by terrible decisions and how is it negated in MyLeague? Do you mean trades and such that obviously wouldn't happen in MyLeague because you control all the teams?Comment

Re: My League vs. My GM
If its just like last year then My GM is basically garbage an wont be worth playing. Hopefully that's not the case, but I don't have much faith in either of these modes getting as much time put into them as their should be.
1 of the biggest differences in these 2 if its the same as last year is atleast in My League you can control all 30 teams so stupid moves don't happen, but the down fall is you have to do way to much. I haven't looked into it yet this year but Im hoping you can control all 3o teams like in old gen where you could set a lot of stuff on auto. My guess is their hasn't been any change here unfortunately, but hope Im wrong.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

MLB- Reds/ and whoever is playing the Cubs
NBA- Pacers

Re: My League vs. My GM
I'm also curious about the terrible AI decisions in MyGM too. i don't mind minor trades with the occasional blockbuster, but if it's too much player movement then I can see how it detracts.
My two focus points are, realistic trades (both type and volume) and realistic offseason player movement. I don't want to see superstars who wouldn't move leaving teams. Stuff like Kobe signing somewhere else, or lebron leaving Cleveland or Duncan leaving the Spurs. But I think that could be curbed with some tweaking to their attributes to make them more loyal or whatever needs to be done.
Do trades and free agency in MyGM vs my league? Thoughts? Does it happen in both but because you can override in my league you can clamp down on some of the silly stuff?Comment

Or just set it so you control 1 team but any trades in the league have to be authorised by you.Comment
