For Those Who Don't Like The Game-> What are Your Issues?

I see there are a lot of people who love this years 2k and I can see why but I'm personally not as pleased with the changes they made this year.

    Few of my issues are...

    - CPU Defense = OP
    - No user ID on defense when playing H2H Online
    - bad rotations on p&r's
    - difficulty of contested lay ups in the paint
    - how easy it is to block dunks
    - post offense seems to be broken

few of my gripes and I'm not afraid to be proven wrong.... just my opinion.

edit: and to clarify I'm talking about online h2h. I usually never play vs the CPU and I haven't played my player park mode yet.

The only real issue that I haven't been able to fix with sliders is how many times my teammates leave big men wide open under the basket and how slow help defense is to rotate for both me and the cpu

I find no issue with the game to be honest. It forces the user to play better and smarter. It's an amazing game that rewards the ability to read and react.
Post offence is not broken, I've been scoring in the post a lot with elite post players, you just have to practice it, because it's different, won't say harder because it might be a matter of practice.

What are your issues with lay ups in the paint? Easy to block dunks? I don't think it is (even though triggering bad dunk animations that allow blocks from behind still happen but not as frequently). We were used to dunking left and right over everybody. If you look at the stats you'll see that an NBA game doesn't have that many dunks and most are probably in transition. We just need to be more careful when choosing when to dunk.

There's one thing that bothers me so far, it's how OPed floaters seem to be. But haven't played enough to actually say it comfortably.

As others have said, the CPU's pick and roll defense is atrocious. I am able to hesitate and cause the CPU to double my ball handler, leaving my big wide open for a basket. Sometimes the CPU rotates a wing over to defend my big near the basket, but a good big will still score over the wing defender 90 + % of the time. Basically, the CPU needs to do a better job of bringing a big over in the paint for help D, rather than always dragging a wing over who is ineffective against a big.

The big men allowing easy layups down low is an issue I notice as well.

My only major gripe so far is the over powered AI, on-ball defense, and the hesitation (lack of explosiveness) when driving to the basket.

Re: For Those Who Don't Like The Game-> What are Your Issues?

I hate this game to be honest. The help defense is utterly ridiculous. Way too overpowered. Also the sorriest players in the league are shining on this game, as is the worst teams. Animations are too clunky. And you can't pass on this game as usual. I'm not sure where 2K sees in the NBA how players can't pass the ball. Just way too many steals, and if you don't use the icon passing the A.I. picks the dumbest pass possible to result in a steal.

It's almost like things HAVE to happen. Also, I don't like the computer flopping around or committing random fouls as my teammates. Once again, it looks silly and most times, it happens at the worst moments. Almost like I'm being cheated.

Online play, people are abusing the steal button, and since the animations are terrible, there are too many steals. One animation is where a defender is just standing there, and you lose the ball anyway.

Defense just looks silly. They move and recover way too fast. And most times it's only on one side of the ball. Meaning the opposing team's A.I. isn't reacting this way. You have to watch the gameplay mechanics closely and you'll see how bad the gameplay really is.

The other modes aren't worth my time. Too arcade. ThePark I never liked, and ProAm doesn't work and people are ball hogs anyway.

Define advanced post moves and who are the players in the NBA that can pull them off please, so that I can tell you if I can or not. Really advanced post moves are not easy to pull, and I'm not saying they can't tweak the controls to make it easier, but I think it's far from broken.

since 2k7 or 2k8 you could always do the advanced posts moves with anyone but actually converting the moves into made baskets could only be done with higher tier players.

as far as advanced post moves I mean up & unders and reverse pivots. Some examples of players who use these types of moves

                      PGs: Russell Westbrook
SGs: Wade, Kobe, Klay Thompson, Demar Derozen, Jimmy Butler
SFs: Rudy Gay, Melo, Kd, Bron,
                      PFs: Bosh, LA, Love, Zeebo,
                      Cs: Gasol Bros

Here are some links to show you what I mean.

                      nba2k14 advanced post moves

they remained the same in 2k15 and the moves appear to be in 2k16 but it's impossible to execute them as far as I've seen.

                      here are NBA player examples.
                      demar derozen step through 2:28

                      kobe bryant reverse pivot

                      carmelo anthony post moves

I coud post a lot more examples but I feel like this shoud be good enough.

Man, I just went to scrimmage and tested with Dirk against Gasol.. You can pull all those. The difference is that bodies are actually there, so you can't just pull up and unders unless they bite the fake. My advice, just go to practice for ten minutes and understand the mechanics of the post play this year. You won't be pulling those with high efficiency with every player though.

My only gripe with the game so far is the lack of total control passing with the left thimbstick. Makes it a lot harder to make passes to the wing.

Right? I'm experiencing the opposite of pretty much everything people are posting here. I've never been so good at the game because the game actually helps me play real basketball.
