IDK what you're talking about, Willis! CFM is working great for me, and I'm getting a really nice range of defensive performances that seem to respect the individual matchups and talent differentials that I see on a game-by-game basis.

Post-patch #2, this is the most well-balanced Madden I personally have seen.

CFM is still broke. Unenjoyable and unplayable. The draft classes not matching up with the players the linemen regress, the hurt players who never heal up. I can go on. But hey maybe sub par or average equals greatness to you.

The defense in last years version was much better...
I can do the same PA-GO on the CPU and H2H and any and get the same results everytime. TE's open down the middle no matter what coverage the defense plays.
Cover 2 guys getting beat down the middle too.

And theres still H2H issues

And heres the thing I don't even play Madden as much as majority of the people here. But everytime I play its the same problems over and over.


But you may like CFM I just don't like having to over compensate for problems that should have been fixed by now. Thats not enjoyable to me

Guys, if you are playing with the tuner ON...stop yourselves right now. Like...exit your game and just stop. Delete the tuner,and play without it.

- As for the patch problems...As someone else in this madden forum has said, in the IT and computer programming side of the house...it is a known "no-no" to download patch on top of patches. I can give you a very specific example of digital forensics evidence lost or damaged due to Encase software updates being installed over each other instead of completely DELETED...THEN reinstalled. Like it or not, you want the game the developers patched and say "is good" that's the way you have to do it.

So...to recap this irritating ordeal I keep re-reading over and over again with the same "madden is broke" comments...I say again...

1. Delete the Madden from your system. Get rid of it. If you want you roster...save it off to the cloud and reload AFTER.

2. Reinstall the game NEW
3. Install new updated patch.
4. DO NOT PLAY WITH THE TUNER.
5. Enjoy Madden as it is very well done this year sans some defensive characteristics that hamper game play which I am fixing myself. (If anyone wants the 53 man roster with JUST the characteristics in it let me know) (Its mostly the strip, big hits, swim/power moves, and aggressive ball, and penalty discipline attributes I messed with.)

Not saying your wrong at all... BUT the simple fact that we have to do all of this just for the game to MAYBE work properly is stupid. Then when I do all of this the same bugs I addressed earlier will still be in the game.

Also doesn't the game tuner automatically load when you turn the game on?
How do you turn it off?
Also if I delete the game that means my custom playbook will be deleted also right?

Another question. What if Im playing online H2H and I did exactly what you said as far as deleting the game but lets say my opponent didn't. Wouldn't that affect our game?

See none of this makes any sense to me... Which is part of the reason I haven't played Madden in almost two weeks..

It reminds me an old show called Sanford and Son. Everytime Fred Sanford would open his drawer he would have to bang on the table, knock 3 times, do a shoe shuffle and etc just to get the drawer to open properly lol

Oh how I wish the people who created NBA2k series could also do football

I meant I hadn't played it in almost two weeks. I went back last nite and downloaded the update and nothing has really changed still the same and the same bugs that were in CFM are still there

That just simply isn't true at all. Confidence was tweaked.

There is at least 4 of those that affected me bleow before patch #2.

CONNECTED FRANCHISE
Addressed issue where defensive holding slider would reset when exiting the screen
Addressed issue where accelerated clock would not work in H2H CFM games
Addressed issue where visual feedback settings were pulling from the user’s profile instead of league settings
Addressed issue where some settings would carry back to the FE after playing a CFM game
Addressed issue where the CPU would retain an empty roster spot when simming to the regular season when there is a player on Injured Reserve (note: changes aren’t reflected until after your current season is finished)
Addressed issue where the user could not sort player while in the Fantasy draft board
Removed Kick Return as a scoutable trait (note: changes won’t be reflected until after your current season is finished)
CFM Trade tuning
Addressed issue in CFM H2H where uniforms would change back to default home/away even after changing them in the team select screen
Addressed a rare issue that caused some Franchise files to be corrupted, preventing players from accessing their CFM (note: this won’t repair already corrupted files, and only prevents future occurrences)

Not to mention still getting stuck at the spinning football. Still happens frequently to me. Thankfully at that point the results are saved, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

You said, if you need to go back to your post, you said, CFM was unenjoyable and unplayable and CFM was still broken. There are others telling you it's playable and some things were fixed in CFM.

The sim engine has been borked for many years, that's a legacy issue and won't be fixed in a patch.(tweaked maybe) I doubt if draft classes will be addressed in a patch either this year.

CFM is one of the main issues that appears is getting a hard look next year.

By the way, there is no need to bold, we get it, not every issue was fixed in CFM. The Madden team has come out with 2 patches in 5 weeks, faster service than in the past.

Heres another issue: I just finished playing a game (H2H) in which I'm blowing out the guy 35-3 and guess what...... A network timeout, the game freezes and I get hit with the loss LoL I can't make this up.

Ive got about 10 L's from that. And its not my internet connection. I have the best that TW provides and no other game has this issue..

IMO much of the uninstall/reinstall/etc stuff is placebo. If you are getting good games ignore stuff like the last page or so.

I think it's the best Madden game play wise, all around, heck no, CFM needs some serious overhauling and more immersion.

I'm not denying there aren't issues fixed in CFM, but you came in with guns blazin' stating that CFM was broken.

All I'm saying is that there were some fixes applied to CFM and there might be more in the next patch. They aren't done patching.

This won't help CFM for this year, but based on what Rex Dickson mentioned in an interview 6 weeks ago, CFM appears to be a priority.

There is some hope.
