Game crashing while editing rosters

Anyone else having this issue? I'm trying to work on my rosters and CAPS and every time I'm almost done with the Arizona Coyotes my game (PS4) crashes. When I restart all my roster moves are undone. Making me crazy



UPDATE: Just tried 3 more times and on the move I try and make it crashes. trying a restart of the PS4. I hope my roster file is not corrupted that will suck since I've already done all my goalie gear and The Ducks

It happens a lot.
Trying to edit goalie gear and I have to save after every team, or I'm going to lose all of my work.

Yes, the game has been crashing a TON for me while I am editing rosters. I've been trying to make the revamped rosters for my own personal use, and it's incredibly frustrating when I lose all of my work multiple times.

Probably a stupid question, but has EA acknowledged this yet? and fixing it ?

in addition to crashing, make sure after editing goalie gear you go back and check each guy you edit. At least 1 out of every 3 I edit when you go back and check the pads changed but the colors revert to the old color or colors are changed to white. This game has so many bugs and crash issues its in need of a major patch. Good thing they had an extra year to work on it...

Something else I have noticed - when editing potentials, the accuracy doesn't always stay the same as you put it. For example, I made Jake Voracek have a medium potential, but every time I exit out of edit player it goes back to high.

I swear that EA hates guys like us.

It seems that every year there's something that's all screwy, or that they take away the ability to do something so basic.

Old stuff:
1. Created rookies don't have rookie staus.
2. Can't change a players height, weight or handedness.
3. Can't change a players default jersey number.
4. Can't change a players contract status.
5. Can't change a players head model or hair color.
6. Dropping a player to FA doesn't erase their old teams rights.

New stuff:
1. Editing any player resets their draft info to 1st overall.
2. Editing a player with a contract over 8 years resets it to 1 year.
3. Edited goalie gear not always saving or changing.
4. Edited potentials not alway saving or changing.

#3 on the old stuff list is killer for me.

I hate not being able to change a players default jersey number. I spend hours/days editing guys and when they called up during the season they're wearing a number I don't recognize. And now some call ups are assigned #1 regardless of their default number. It may be nitpicking, but it drives me nuts.

#5 is something that I hope will change in the future.

We can now add beards to ANY player, even players who have had their face scanned. If we can do that, why can't we change head models and hair color?

You cant change players numbers? There's a screen to where it allows you to change it I thought?

You can change jersey numbers in the menus, but that's not what I'm talking about.

When editing a player, there is a "preferred number" that is locked. It's like the 4th or 5th line down on the "general info" page. This is the number they will be assigned when added to an NHL team. So if there is a player whose preferred number is 15, but his actual number in real life is 51, he will be given 15. Now, during a season or BaGM you can't change jersey numbers for other teams, so he's stuck with it. It gets annoying when trying to have accurate rosters and some guys are wearing the wrong numbers.

Now there is a new bug where some players are assigned #1 regardless of their preferred number.

The "preferred number" used to be unlocked, but EA decided to take it away about 3 years ago.

Some more fun roster editing problems. Spent two weeks working on my rosters, making all the CAPS, and setting actual lines. Start my season and the lines are all screwed up. Sooo....back to the task of setting lines and I see Rich Clune is no longer on the Leafs and is magically back in the Free Agent Pool. No problem right? just go resign him. NOPE. It wont let me sign him to the Leafs or the Marlies saying that it can not be completed because Toronto would have less than 2 playable goalies.......WTF. I swear to God how does anybody at EA Canada keep their jobs? This is a completely bug filled and incomplete game and as usual after the first month and half of sales the Devs go into hiding......

There is definitely few bugs with the roster. I moved Kaberle to his Czech team (forgot which one) from Free Agents, EA decided to randomly duplicate him so I'd end up having him on the team and in Free Agents. Wtf!

It is very evident that the edit player feature was rushed. They threw it in at the end to shut us all up, but it is extremely buggy. It's a shame. Especially since a lot of other sports games are getting fantastic creation options these days.

And created a player does not evolve during the season. (Be A Pro) Good work EA!
