In game adverts?
I don't know about the rest of you but I find the hourly pop ups reminding me about VC sales completely unacceptable. I mean just f**k off already. I didn't pay $50 to be constantly pestered by in game ads. It's bad enough they keep releasing 2K full of ridiculous bugs which could have been easily picked up during QA and fixed easily (grey background player closeups during mycareer bug for example).

Re: In game adverts?
actually you did pay for ads... it's their game which you bought they can advertise anything they want inside of it.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA Hoops -

Re: In game adverts?
To be pedantic, it's a hard fact that they cannot advertise whatever they like as there are regulations and restrictions, I believe it's something to do with "how the world works" but I wouldn't know. Likewise it's a fact that I bought a full price console game and not a free-to-play-but-with-ads-connect-the-gems-phone-game. I wouldn't mind getting told there is a promotion running on an in game item, I resent however getting a popup I can't turn off every hour of play so far constantly reminding me about it. Do you really want to deal with constant irritating adverts for in game purchases in a game you've already paid for and that year after year designs the game to encourage more purchasing? Bending over and accepting it is exactly how the world gets that way in the first place.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
There's quite a few people who have bought the offer....and not got the free VC, I bet seeing the constant popups reminded them of how they've been effectively ripped off isn't nice eitherComment

Re: In game adverts?
I had the 'free VC' ad come on my screen while I was midplay in an online game and cover the scoreboard. That and the popup showing up in the menu is annoying as hell.Comment

Re: In game adverts?
but i'd be lying if i said it wasn't annoying whenever it flashes across my score board in the middle of a game
at least put it in the other corner if they are gonna do thatComment

Re: In game adverts?
As long as they don't break their ESRB rating, they can advertise all they want in their game. They aren't breaking any laws. By purchasing their game you accept their TOS. They can advertise anything they want in game. You really don't know how the world works if you think just because you bought a game they can't/won't advertise to you. If you want to no advertisements, then disconnect from XBL/PSN and play, that would be the only way to avoid anything.
The real point of the post is that they SHOULDN'T be advertising anything in game in such an irritating way. Having been a long time gamer I have seen some awful in game advertising (this being hilariously blatant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSr7gFkzQHw) but at least those are just product placements you see in passing. This is constant repetitive popups, there should be a permanent opt out option or a don't show again option at minimum.
I personally don't want to be bombarded with adverts every hour about things I'm not interested in especially when I'm playing a game to relax and have fun.Comment
