On the court, he's only good for defense, dunking, and mid-range jumpers, since they picked a year (1994) where Scottie wasn't shooting a good percentage from three. Your opponent can also just foul you and send you to the line any time that you have an open dunking lane, because this Pippen has a 66 free throw rating.
So really, the only benefits that he brings to your lineup are defense and mid-range Js. And you can't even have him on the floor in a close game in case he gets fouled.
1996-1997 Pippen would have made for a much better reward card, since he would have had a much better three point rating and free throw rating in that particular season.
I'm guessing Visual Concepts picked his 1993-1994 season for this card just because he averaged the most points per game in his career that year.
I hope there's some way that 2K can update this card so that the attributes reflect his 1996-1997 season and he becomes more usable. As it stands right now, I would rather have gold Jimmy Butler, gold Rudy Gay, gold Gordon Hayward, and many other inexpensive mid-80s gold cards in my lineup over this Amethyst Scottie Pippen.
