From the Bottom to the Best | A Georgia State Dynasty

    Intro
Hey guys! I'm a new OS'er and I got the urge to do my own dynasty here. Quick little background on myself: I am a very big sports fan in general but am most knowledgeable in football and basketball. I have an undying love for Georgia sports teams(outside of the 'Dawgs). Georgia Tech and the Atlanta Falcons are two of my favorite sports teams. I never really pay attention to the Panthers, but hey, it's never too late to.

I want to build a team from the ground up and what better team to do it with. Georgia State is a pretty pitiful team IRL and I think it'd be a fun challenge to build a team of their caliber. I'd like to give a quick shout out to SportsGuru and Cheese for being my main inspirations to start on here, go check them out if you haven't already!

But anyways, lets get this things rolling.
(please no posting till I clear it)

    Setup
    Game: NCAA Football 14
    Console: PS3
Coach/Play/Other?: I will be using the coach mode feature to make things more realistic.
    Difficulty: Heisman
Rosters: OS Community '15-'16(those guys put in so much hard work, thank you all!)
    Sliders: OS Community
Redshirts: I can redshirt anyone I please, but, I will keep it as realistic as possible.
Transfers or Players Declaring: I can't persuade anyone who decides to do either one of them.
Scheduling: I will leave the schedules the game generates for me alone unless there is an FCS school scheduled. I want this to be a challenge. In replacement of the FCS opponents, I will schedule opponents that I feel give us the best games possible in whatever week I can find them.

    Recruiting:
-My plan with this dynasty is to make it as realistic as possible. With that being said, I will not do any of the recruiting myself. The CPU will do all recruiting except for the fact that I set parameters every preseason that I would like the CPU to follow.

-Recruiting generally is too easy in this game, thus is why I decided to do it like that.

-I will scout players once they have committed to GSU so I can give correct scouting reports.

      Panther Football History
There isn't really much to say here. The Panthers became an established program in 2008, the first year in which they recruited players. A few years later, they started playing games. Their first game was a win over the Shorter Hawks in dominating fashion, 41-7. Halfback Paris Lee scored the first touchdown in program history. That year they went on to finish 6-5, not too shabby.

The following year they would go 3-8 and the team was marred with competition. Their quarterback spot opened up as a punter due to suspensions and injuries. You can guess how that went. In Bill Curry's last year(and GSU's last year in the CAA), they finished 1-11.

After Curry's retirement, the Panthers moved up into the realm of FBS schools and the Sun Belt Conference. Trent Miles came in to fill Curry's role and didn't do too much better if at all. Since he has came to Atlanta, he has won 1 game. The only reason I would consider him doing better is because his recruiting is building the program, slightly.

All and all, Georgia State is a very un-established program in the FBS.

Good luck, I will be following. Interesting decision to let the CPU recruit for you, not sure I have ever seen anyone do that. Should be fun to see how it works. Good luck once again!

Good luck with this. I just got back from Atlanta yesterday. I toured GT, and stayed near campus, but I saw a good chunk of Georgia State on the way to and from Hartsfield-Jackson.

Thanks for following Mill! Hopefully that system makes the series entertaining.

Thanks RT! That's really cool staying near campus and stuff! Always wanted to do that.

                New Head Coach!
There is a new head man in Atlanta as Georgia State has hired Ryan Malloy to replace Trent Miles. Miles left the team after a sour turn of events in a team meeting.

Ryan Malloy brings many new things to the table for the Panthers. He loves to run, run and run. You get the picture. He is very good at replicating one of the best offensive attacks in terms of running the ball in the nation, Wisconsin. Malloy also is very good at setting up multiple defensive looks to confuse the offense. Malloy should bring new and quick life to the slowly deteriorating program of the Pathers.

Georgia State Panthers Depth Chart - 15-16
                  Regular Offense
                  STARTER2ND3RD4TH

                  QB#4 Nick Arbuckle#12 Emiere Sciafe

                  HB#25 Kyler Neal#24 Marcus Caffey#23 Kendrick Dorn#30 DeMarcus Kirk

The focal point of this offense is Wide Receiver Donovan Harden. Coming into the year, he is pegged as our best player. However, role players like Kyler Neal can easily maneuver their way to the top of that list. Neal is a strong, slow back who can't do much besides run you over, at least it's something though.

The defense is headed primarily by Seniors Joseph Peterson and Tarris Batiste. Like previously stated, Coach Malloy likes running multiple different sets but he turns to the 3-4 most often during games. One key role player to watch this year will be LDE Mackendy Cheridor. He has pretty solid pass rushing skills as a Sophomore and can be a handful for O-Linemen.

Bell and Kight Coaches, Hammon Out
Some key players were notably missing on Coach Malloy's depth chart. Quarterback Ronnie Bell and Running Back Krysten Hammon on offense and Dallas Kight on defense. You will see two of them this year, but not in action. Bell and Kight will be on the sideline every game, Bell as an assistant QB Coach and Kight as a LB assistant. Both will stay under scholarship.

The same can't be said for Hammon, though. Hammon was recently arrested and charged with drug possession with intent to distribute. This charge was spoke upon by Coach Malloy:
I am very disappointed with Hammon's actions. He had a very bright potential season ahead of him. We as a team wish him the best in his future and thank him for his services

                            Preseason Preview

With many key players gone from the Pac-12(Mariota namely) and the ACC(Winston namely), this season is shaping up to be dominated by the SEC. 8 of the Top 25 and 10 of the Top 30 are SEC schools. However, other conferences like the ACC do have great representation. All that matters though is the question, can anyone stop 'Zeke Elliot and the Ohio State University?
