Scouting & off-season Draft (stupid question)

I FINALLY went through and completed my first full season in M16 and had a question on scouting through your season. When you scout, and there's a diamond next to the fully-scouted player that mentions their actual vs projected round, what do the colors signify? Does a green diamond signify a "good" scouted player while "red" is one you shouldn't draft?

I believe green means after scouting they are confirmed to be either their expected value or a higher value (gem). if its red, they are confirmed to be lower value then they were originally projected. (bust)

for example a 3rd round projected player whos scouted and true value becomes a 4th rounder, will have a red diamond. if you scouted him and he turned out to be a 3rd round or better player, it would be green.

    thats my understanding of it.

I did not even realize there were two different colored diamonds until I read your post. Why does Madden have to keep making it hard on red-green color-blind people? Almost 10% of the male population is red-green color blind.

A diamond as a bad symbol doesn't even make any sense. No matter what color the diamond is its always viewed as a positive. Why not have a diamond for a player that is better than originally projected and another symbol, like a Stop sign, for busts?

Thanks, for the replies guys. Guess we won’t know for certain until EA decides to tell us. I guess it makes sense for green to be a gem, even if they’re projected before or later than their draft spot. Here’s hoping anyway!

              Thanks again.
